I also recall that maybe because when I purchase my PS3 at that time, I had my friend with me to assist on the purchase. So, maybe it didn't come to mind. But that's all right. It was like 4 years ago, so no biggie now. Just like all of you have said, ask at the time of purchase. Thanks!

^ ya .. but now the tax is 8% so it is quite substantial .. can't wait to save up and go shopping there now with the new tax free rules ..

I've seen tax free duty signs in Yodobashi Camera and that was 3-4 years ago.
