It's her loyalty to team M. I don't really find it strange that she'd want to stay that much, especially when she was basically the sub-captain that supported Shimada all the way since day 1.

And it would make even more sense for her to stay if she knew beforehand that Shimada planned on graduating.

Well with Shimarena graduating it certainly makes more sense, at least for the team and Yuipon's possible role in it, that's for sure.

I'm neither for nor against the AKB/NGZ concurrency

but for those who is still against it, there is a petition against it on change.org :  https://www.change.o...の活動を存続することを望みます

as of this post, there are 1,383 signatures (1,500 required)

Harajuku DREAM MATE (ハラ塾DREAM MATE) Showroom Schedule (in JST) : Kuroe Koharu (黒江心温) https://www.showroom...jukumate_koharu - TBA. Sakamoto Airi (坂本愛莉) https://www.showroom...rajukumate_airi - Tues/Thurs - 21:00 to 22:00. Fukano Hina (深野ひな) https://www.showroom...rajukumate_hina - Monday 20:00 to 21:00. Takagi Hana (高木波夏) https://www.showroom...rajukumate_hana - TBA. HDM Official Room https://www.showroom...ammate_official - TBA. The schedule is merely a guide, and will change if the girls are busy or wanna do more broadcast. BTW I literally live in Kuroe Koharu's showroom (with over 2500+ visitsover 2,900,000+ points, and currently rank #2 in the Cumulative Ranking lol), so if you somehow need to contact me and I'm not responding, you know where to find me. Yes, you can also find me in other girls' rooms, but I'm not sure if I'll always be there like in Koharu's room lol

As of Dec 30 2019, the girls are no longer broadcast daily even though they broadcasted daily for 3 years.

Watching people trying to argue and defend their ignorance since 1999TM. Btw dude chill, why so serious? lol

The real question is what sort of impact an online petition has for this.

probably just like most online petitions .... NONE

but it will give the management an idea how many wotas they might lose over this, hoping they can do the math and think if it's worth it or not

lol

Literally all petition's like this are acknowledged, but action is rarely taken. So I don't see management doing anything about this petition at all, even if they've seen how many fans they may lose over this  XD

So, I thought that I would look at this event in a bit more possitive way by now but not much have changed.

The stagnation that AKB is suffering from is now exported to the sister groups. Most fans are reffering to Acchan's graduation as the start of the 2nd chapter of AKB48, the time when changes were suppoed to happen, however management did not and with Yuko's announcement reality suddenly hit them hard. To their defence, it was a good business decission for a long time to include all 48-groups to sell the AKB CD, to sacrifice a few spots in senabtsu for great profit. This got out of hand though and now we stand with an AKB senbatsu without an identity or colour, ruled by sister groups on stage and in HS-events.

Did they learn anything? Apparently not! By the looks of it they now created two more 48-group senbatsu (SKENMB) but without the benefit of using the whole 48-group to sell their singles. The opportunity to push a new girl is now greatly crippled, the chances for borderline senbatsu girls are now gone as three or four spots in senbatsu willl be dedicated to already established outside girls.

Giving more girls a dual senabtsu wasn't enough... let us rejoice over the tripple senbatsu spots! Wellcome to HS-hell! Wellcome the stagnation. So, stupid.

I'm not really happy that also sister groups now have bigger teams when the limitation of 16 girls per team was lifted. Sure, more girls will be a part of a team but this also introduces the benchwarmer system. Already estableished girls will never be put on the bench while the new girls, that really needs to stand on stage to get a recognition, will be limited to fewer performances. I greatly enjoy what a fixed team becomes after a while, great in tune performances, units with great chemistry between them. Yes, shuffled units during concerts can be fun and fantasitic at times but seeing a great theater performance is what is it all about.

After seeing the effort that management put into celebrating the early gens that built the AKB legacy with special dome concerts and special TV appearanceis etc. To see how super special a certain 1st gen member became after a tabloid exposure.

Then reading about the transferes like Maachun and Chori and conclude that AKS only really cares about the wellbeing of AKB48

To not allow Shimarena announce her graduation as captain because the event needed more WTF moments... is stupid.

To tear highly functioning teams appart and give the aces/leaders concurrent or new concurrent positions instead of allowing them to fully devote their time to rebuild what was destoryed... is stupid.

I'm still so butthurt :D At least the emo rage quit tendencies have faded enough

Since it has been six month or so and this was the main topic on this week's ANN, I wanted to hear from you guys what your opinions are on how things have turned out. Please mention anything.

My focus is on transferred and concurrent members.

Good

I think for the most part Tani's and Chiyori's transfers have been very good for them. Chiyori has been on AKBingo regularly as well as some other non-AKB shows plus she seems like she will be on ANN regularly, well as regularly as one can. Tani was a part of that SKE48 unit on their most recent single and in the AKB49 musical.

Yuria was in GTO, though she probably would have been in it regardless, but being in Tokyo could give her more acting opportunities.

I think all the HKT48 member with concurrent memberships have benefited from being in both team whether its from tv or senbatsu. Natsumikan sticks out to me esp. with her appearance on  ebi-show. Murashige probably had a lot more to gain if she didn't you know.

Bad

Suzuran and Suu-chan are no where to be seen except for 1 or 2 times on ebi-show. i think we would probably have seen them a couple more times on tv if they were both still in AKB48.

I think Karen made the right choice to stay in AKB48.

Thoughts?

Not pointing out situations of single girls, but as a whole this was just a huge disaster, IMHO. It just has become completely pointless to care for teams (which was for me as important as caring for an oshimen), as they will be shuffled to doom the next chance management will get.

I hardly watched anything since then (just a few episodes of Nandenyanen Camp and this one Golf episode with Ranran, I think), just stacking all the downloads on some backup drive and not knowing when I'll ever find motivation or time to catch up with them. :)

From my POV, the Reformation was given very little thought and has been a huge disaster.  If you look at 48Group as a whole, nothing really has changed.  My friends in Japan, majority, seem to agree with me.  To be honest, I dont know what the 48Group Management were thinking when they decided on who should go where.  Apart from the heartache it caused the girls, there are very few stars currently in the 48Group in comparison with the former line up.  Management didnt do anything to remedy the situation and by the time it Yuko announced her graduation, it was too late to do much of anything.  What they need to do is to grow these girls, just like you would do in any sport.  One doesnt just move them else where and hope that things will work out.  Stupid stupid stupid..
