Still an overall drop though. Below are above mentioned singles from tomi's post, with 1st and 2nd day sales combined. So the peak is 465k for first 2 day sales, then 406k, and now 361k. I do hope it can turn around.

The shuffles definitely are not helping, IMHO. From my point of view SKE48 has an identity crisis right now... chaos in the girl/ team layout... transfers... no original SKE48 stages anymore, etc. Might piss off some hardcore SKE48 fans (SKE48 fans where much more about team spirit than just girls, IMHO), so they buy less multiple copies. Perhaps the song isn't unique enough either (I didn't heard it yet). Understandable. There seems to be almost no promotion too (at least not on our tracker).

Last SKE48 single I bought still had Ogichan in it... those where the good times.

The shuffles definitely are not helping, IMHO. Last SKE48 single I bought still had Ogichan in it... those where the good times.

ya .. time and time again .. SKE48 fans are very simple minded ..like when they change manager .. they think that by letting Yuasa not getting the vote of confidence .. he will not move over ..
In the end .. he got degraded to KKS manager .. which make all the SKE48 girls unhappy ... quite simply all brawn willing to fight and be vocal but not much brain to think more than 1 step ahead ..
this time may be the case .. I think its going to be close .. this is the worst situation .. its more sales but not safe .. so we would see next week because NMB48 fans have the advantage of the 2nd move ..
for all you know they didn't even realise it and are just doing the scrap and build wota dream drama storyline.. not knowing shit gonna come from their next door neighbour soon ..

Another thing they may not realise is that once they lost it .. they may never recover from it .. sales may continue to flow that way and SKE48 will get pin down forever ..
taking example from H!P .. Berryz had C-ute pin down in sales for years .. then when they lost their lead against them .. the gap got wider and wider .. Berryz not only never caught C-ute they are falling further behind every step of the way ..so beware ..
Anyway .. i will have a good laugh at those hardcore pure SKE48 fans .. maybe they spent too much on glowstick during the Nagoya dome concert .. LOL

This single is a slower pace song different from their usual upbeat loader fast pace songs ..
I guess the song sound good .. but in the wrong timing ..or placing .. I don't understand japanese .. but from a bit here and there .. I would think its a better song from like end of the year with serious changes to SKE48 next year ..

the timing are kind of wrong .. the shuffle result came late .. and the graduations came even later ..here and there and not organised ..this will result is less impact and people will get used to it ..instead of a meaningful mass graduation like last year ..
It would work better if they give fans more time to react to the shuffles and graduations ...
or it would work better if its the after shuffled team that is doing the single ..
I guess for Japanese the year also technically start on 1 April .. but I guess the impact is not there ..

^You can't really use Cute and Berryz as a comparison tbh.

 

48 Groups have a lot more on the plate than H!P groups. One big one would be the Elections. SKE fans are known for planning before taking action, as they did last year. Those fans are most likely saving up all their money and waiting to splurge on the elections to vote for their favorites. AKB and HKT's sales had a huge decrease since their previous singles, so I don't think it's about SKE declining because it seems to be all groups. 

I believe there to be three reasons for this. One would be that all 48 groups sales are so close together that fans of all groups wont have enough money to buy a bunch of each groups single. this means that most will opt for just buying their number one group, leaving all the other groups a few sales less. This could also give management insight to see how much sales each group is truly capable of when the fans have to choose which group they will spend their money on. Another reason would be graduations. So many popular/well known members left in the past few months which means fans of those members will most likely leave the SKE fandom if they don't move on to another girl. One more would be the one I stated at the start of this post. People want to save for the Elections so they're going to spend less of these singles. I won't be surprised if NMB follow the sister group trend and decline in sales for these reasons too. 

 

Expect to see a huge increase in the post election single once again~

^ .. yes yes .. nothing in history will match anything exactly .. there are always differences .. but people still study history academically..
It just give a warning that may not be remotely accurate .. but its a lot better than just pulling a cute rabbit out of the hat and go "I think" ..

You mention that HKT has a huge decrease, but really, where? First week sales of all three HKT singles: 250,147　-> 268,897 -> 277,000.

Anyways, SKE48's single still on #1, with 6,995 copies sold. Total of 377,748 so far.

Well in terms of drop in sales overall in Japan, NMB48 beat SKE48 for the first time now. It may just be 1st day sales, but it seems likely that NMB48 has a chance of beating SKE48's overall sales as well now.

Lol..  NMB48 368K ..Day 1 vs SKE48 397K week 1 ..

There is almost no way to stop NMB48 from beating SKE48 ...

Unless you go Japan and burn all the NMB48 Stock now.. 

This not only look like a defeat for SKE48... it look like a thrashing actually.. 

I already said.. there is a chance of overkill.. look like it's going this way.  

 

Anyway..  for fall in CD sales..  I do feel that ya.. it's partly because of digital sales.. 

But it's usually a mix of reason.. maybe a decline of genre,  decline of certain artists.. 

 

But if you look at other idols like for HKT48 week.. 

9Nine got 27K ..and Dempagumi inc got 43K   ..

These are groups that have huge increases compare to their previous years.. 

These group are actually those that you would celebrate if they get more than 3K sales.. 

Now they seem to made it.. all this I feel is at the expense of other bigger idol group.. and I am not talking about 48G only. 

 

In the end..  Wow..  I am getting things right at scary rate nowadays.. 

But Anyway..  I know it useless... I don't get any money by predicting idol stuff correct.. 

I don't even get anyone appreciating it..

I'm not so sure NMB48 will beat SKE48 this time (in terms of total sales). SKE48 is #1 today and NMB48 #2...

LOL .. not to worry ..SKE48 fans has a tendency for futile behavior ..
wait for that usual more than 50K blast on one of the days that NMB48 usually have then we can call it ..

anyway .. looking at the bright side ..
the next single or event for the fans to make it up to them .. would be the senbatsu election ..
So we may just see SKE48 gate crashing the event that day.. just that .. AKB48 will get the credit for the sales..

NMB48 with 6,963 sold, total of 384,158 so far. NMB48 behind with 46,276 copies.
