On-screen TV guides in Japan have episode #261, airing on March 25th, listed as the final episode of "The Girls Live". A physical TV guide has a new show listed in the same time slot, to air on April 1st, titled "AI・DOL Project" (AI・DOLプロジェクト), but there are no press releases or official announcements out 100% connecting it to Hello! Project (yet, hopefully).

multiple TV guide channels in Japan are saying that next week's episode of The Girls Live will be the last with episode #261. H!P's longest running TV show (the last episode of the Heisei era). The Girls Live ran from 1/9/2014~3/25/19.

The focus is on AI robots.

 

From the preview, it's kinda hard to tell if this is intended to be a completely new show, or if they've just basically replaced the learning segment, that TGL usually has, with this AI stuff. They did say it was a show renewal, not a completely new thing. I don't know if that actually makes any difference, though. There's no mention about what will happen to the studio performances. If those are gone, then that really sucks, but if the performances are still there, then it's more or less the same show, just more focused on AI robots, for whatever reason. Gonna have to wait for it to actually air to find out :/

If it ends up still having the live performances, but then for whatever reason has an odd in-depth focus on AI robots and making stuff with various raspberry pi builds, I don't know how much of a general audience that would have, but I'd definitely be in that demographic.
