I am going to hold off on this single until I know if it's Yuko's last or not and until I find out how much I like it (or if I like it at all). From the looks of it it seems the track list would be something like this if it's Yuko's last in which case I'd be getting Type K.

its something that i carry with me ever since I started following idols with H!P when sub unit don't last and nothing but just a warm shower ..

honestly .. AKB48 Group is like the soul of my fandom .. I will always love them ..
but in recent time .. i am terribly broke .. I am jobless again .. I keep having career crisis ..
Idols keep me smiling even in the darkest moments .. that's why I really love those happy happy stuff from idols..
But I really got to find a good good reason to buy .. because I got to dig really deep into my expenses .. sorry ..

Feels like this single is only like 30% AKB48 and the rest the sister groups.

Strange that Mirurun is a Lion and not a Chimpanzee. Great... one Baka Sister is there, only 2 to go.

Oh wow, Riichan on the elephant song? Wonder if they want to try pushing her again. And nice, Yuuri! Want to see what bearing this will have on the NMB senbatsu. There are 14 girls here w/ Miorin, all senbatsu plus Nagisa except those two. Cutthroat senbatsu even moreso.

And nice to see Suda managing to stay in the AKB senbatsu. I'm also a little surprised that Makochan has already jumped into the senbatsu. Took Ricchan forever. I didn't think we'd see her until the 642 member summer single. I just assumed they'd keep giving everything to Miichan.

I was bored to tears with the Team songs, so even if there are basically no AKB girls on this single, I'll look forward to seeing the videos.

Kojimako and Naachan are the two most popular members of the Three Musketeers at the moment and it seems Kojimako is getting her break now, with entry into senbatsu. It will be very interesting to see how that develops, especially with election this year, because it seems they're not waiting to push her.

In general this senbatsu lineup is OK, but it's heavily unbalanced. With just one girl from Team K, and it's the girl who is soon graduating, it makes you wonder what will happen when Kitarie and/or Mocchi graduates...

The rest of the lineups looks very interesting, quite a bit of all-star like mixes here from all the groups. Though, I have to say that Kinou Yori Motto Suki is like a massive drop of loli/bijin girls -- it's quite obvious

Also, just to add, Theater Version lineup is another obvious lineup. It's kinda sad, because you know majority of those girls are the least popular girls, and they don't even get a PV which the other girls do...

I have no idea what sounds the most interesting here as I haven't yet heard the songs or seen the PV's, but I do like all of these c/w lineups. And for example, "Talking Chimpanzees" definitely looks like a "character" lineup, with a lot of the funny girls and similar. I hope Aanya gets center in that one.

Not gonna bother with this single. I'm gonna wait for the summer single and buy 50 copies of it and give all the votes to Nagao Mariya. Seriously the girl ranks in for 2yrs and Kawaei and Iriyama who only managed to rank last year get put in regular senbatsu over her. And even Kojima f-u-c-k-i-n-g Mako a fresh blood from Team 4 gets put in Senbatsu before her. This is like head-desk galore inducing. And WTF is it with the bards deciding Senbatsu and girls from the sister groups? Why don't you just shuffle in the most popular SKE/NMB/HKT regular Senbatsu girls into AKB and get it over with? WHY!

Because if you look at current handshake event standings:

 

you will see that Kojimako is doing really well, and she has a tremendous amount of momentum. For management, this is a business. It's about having the most popular girls in the lineup. While an election is definitely an indication of popularity, handshake event standings single for single, and including albums, is a more safer indication of popularity as you get to see the standings over a longer period of time. Mariyagi, where is she on the current list? Almost at the bottom. Mind you though that this is just a select number of girls, not all of them.

 

As for Annin, she's popular too, but recently have had some poorer results in handshake events. But she's part of the ANRIRE trio - and she's heavily pushed.

 

Going back to Kojimako, it wouldn't make sense at all to ignore her when she's doing this well. Mariyagi was pushed as well, but there wasn't enough of a response from fans, hence she was dropped. This isn't news either, it happens with each and every generation. 9th gen? Takeuchi Miyu, made as ace and center of that generation from Day 1, in the hope that she would become popular, and sure - she got popularity, but then fans didn't respond anymore because as pretty and talented as Miyumiyu is, she doesn't have fanservice ability, and thus in handshake events she does very poorly.

 

With Kojimako she's soaring up the ranks in popularity, and as a business, you will push what's doing well.

 

That's why Sasshii, who was an Undergirl, who wasn't one of the popular girls (only popular amongst the hardcore fans), when she got her momentum, they continued, because there was an increase in interest for her. When further continuing, the momentum just grew and grew. It doesn't really matter who the girl is if she gets that momentum going on, they tend to continue pushing that girl, and they did. And now she is ranked #1 in AKB48... The same thing happened with Yuihan. Same with Paruru, etc.

I'm upset with the senbatsu b/c they put in Akarin over Mariyagi or Tomu and I'm happy for Kojimako but good grief they got busy on that one real fast. I'm very worried about Team K now. Won't people going to Team K shows start thinking it's pointless b/c they have no Senbatsu representative except the ace of SKE?

^I don't remember Mariyagi ever getting a push alla Yuihan or Paruru even when it was evident her popularity was finally taking off. Rather than girls getting popular but not popular enough to stick I think the issue is more that the people deciding regular senbatsu pick whoever they like most among the girls with rising popularity and do whatever they can to skyrocket them to even higher popularity levels. If it was merely about a girl having popularity that sticks I'm sure girls like Amina and Sayaka would've gotten more love. Heck Umechan would've been regular senbatsu as of UZA if it was about their popularity sticking.
