You're right about her having the "it" factor, her and Miion were noticed from pretty much day one by fans, and so far they still are the two most popular girls in their generation. I really look forward in seeing where it will end up, because there's a lot of potential

It might just be me, but I think H!P KSS Yoshihashi Kurumi looks a lot like Naanya. And both are super bubbly and energetic

私はですね・・・AKBに入って約4年目なんですけど、ここでいろんな悔しかったりうれしかったり、いろんな感情を教えてもらったり、いろんな経験をさせてもらったので、これからグループの外に出て新しい自分を見つけたいなと思っているので、はい、決断しました。

Much have changed with her over time.

 

Once pushed as a double-ace with Miion, PV-debut as center in "Party is over", to pushed on her own but less than Miion, but still receiving opportunities on TV shows and similar, and then eventually just less and less. After her scandal she was removed from AKBINGO! and that was it.

 

I should also add, that in addition to more "official" stuff, there was also behind the curtains stuff going on.

 

Post-scandal, Naanya not being invited to a 15th gen Halloween party for example (not being part of the good company), Naanya unfollowing Miion on Twitter (Miion still following Naanya though), Naanya with various comments on Twitter, etc... Also just to add, out of all the 15th gen girls Naanya is only following three: Miyabi, Megutan, and Makichan - whereas only two are following Naanya on Twitter: Seichan and Miion. 

 

In addition she started gaining weight (been an issue for a long time) - though nothing "bad" per se - and that is also something that's never popular in Japan. Her handshake events have been less than stellar whereas other girls in her generation like Miion, Komiharu, or Seichan for example have great handshake events in comparison. Her performances haven't really been amazing either...

 

Her attitude also changed, and she got much more moody, lackadaisical, and salty. So I think it's a combination of several factors, but the scandal and member-relationships probably enough to make her graduate.

^What was her official reasoning for graduating? It sounds like things had really gone downhill for her both behind the scenes and not behind the scenes and she just couldn't take it anymore.

I was hoping she would give it at least another year to see if she can catch a second wind. I'm kinda sad, she being my favorite AKB member and all, though not as sad when my original oshimen Moeno graduated. After Moeno graduated and Kitarie transferred decided to pick from the younger gens so I started to follow Naanya.
I wish her the best but not sure if she is well-known enough to continue in showbiz without starting from scratch.

Alright I am late ..
I was too busy packing for my trip and traveling to Tokyo that I didn't have time to respond ..
I never met her but I saw her while queuing for the row beside her during my 2shot earlier this year ..
She didn't look like the trouble maker type ..
and I always favor her more .. and I do have a liking for her ..
I am quite sad about her leaving .. but when I read back what happen .. her scandal look bad ..
But whatever it is .. I didn't like the fact that her gen didn't invite her to gathering ..
Sorry .. I am not the popular type when growing up .. I hate it when I get outcast or excluded from a group of people I am suppose to be in..
Its not a good feeling .. actually it hurt ... somehow it still have an effect on the way I handle people now ..
I feel very bad for her .. to me no matter what reason or excuse you can give .. there is no reason to outcast anyone for something like a gathering ..
They can be not friendly with her but they still got to drop an invite .. so I don't like it at all ..
I will miss her ..
