Rev. from DVL

Rev. from DVL is a local idol group from Fukuoka formed in 2011 and their members are under contract with the agency Active Hakata. If you have ever asked yourself why there are so many groups with so many people right now, start counting people signed with this (local) agency:
http://active-hakata...lent/index.html
The group currently has 14 members and they are, from left to right, above to below (or hope so, because both the picture I’m using and the profiles on their website are not very good): Kanae, Narunaru, Hitomin, Yuuna, Miporin, Miki, Nagichon, Hanami, Reina, Kyonkyon, Nacchi, Kanna , Yukky and Chikanana.
Website, blog, twitter:

They have released two singles “Love Arigatou” (in two editions) and “Ai ni Kinshai”. You can see tiny pictures of the covers on their shop, and you can even try to buy them. Anyway, from what I can remember, they have a track on “Japan Idol File” and another one on “Jisedai Idol Kakumei!! Blue Lips”:

Kanna was popular among local idol fans. See for example this video of her performing in a unit with Yu-Na (ANNA☆S) and Haruno (Yamaguchi Kassei Gakuen). The thing was that both YKG and ANNA☆S performed on that live show, while Rev. from DVL didn’t. But Kanna was.
Kanna also appears regularly on the magazine Chu Boh. She has been on the cover three times, which is quite something for somebody not doing gravure. NSFW link:

So, what happened? Allegedly the information flow in Japan goes from 2ch to the mainstream. But 2ch isn’t really much searchable. So there are matomes, news sites that mostly cut-paste-edit-and add colour to existing 2ch threads. There are lots of these news sites and most of them copy contents from others. This thing started three days ago, in what was a slow news day. The thing has been so wild that people are already posting caps of NHK and other televisions talking about it.
A completely NSFW example of this (Rocket News less or more is just the same thing but a bit more professional):

And, for fun, to see how this kind of information bubble works, this is a link to one of them posted by a member of LinQ (as in “oh, that girl isn’t that cute, LinQ members are better”):

Most of the (local idol) otakus that I follow on Twitter are perplexed about how lazy the whole thing is.

OK, but what was the catalyst for all this, may I ask?
Was it like, someone said: "Oh, she is cute!" and then some more people said: "Yeah, she is cute!" and then it kept spreading on and on and on?
By the way, lots of stuffs in those links which are very distracting. lol

Must have been a day with slow news indeed.
Matsui Rena from SKE48 seemed to have succumbed into the cuteness hype:

Kanna is kind of cute and very playful with her face expressions. Lots of cute chicks there in the group, gonna check this group out.
So far I watched exactly the 2 solo angel videos for this girl for which you just posted one, I wanted to know what was up with her so solo angels seemed convenient to fulfill that purpose.
I liked this song:
Gonna check more songs from them.

Seems this group adopts the 48groups approach to j-idoru: everyone harmonizes (I'm beginning to think solo lines is becoming unique to uf's groups )
And simpler dancings due to large number of members sharing the performing stage
And the Internet raving over Kanna; will this become another one member above all other groupmates situation? e.g. MoMusu's Takahashi, C-ute's Airi
(thirdly) I feel the strength of the group isn't Kanna-chan, but they has a damn fine songwriter
Oh, & trust me, these girls harmonizes even better than akb
EDIT: strange that for a group that was formed in 2011 & has even performed overseas recently, they've only got 2 singles.

Didn’t see the full thing so can’t really tell how much she was on it. But can link to this:

^That YouTube user is quite an interesting guy, has worked with lots of idol groups from Fukuoka.
The singles thing is not so weird when you don’t have a record company backing you. If you don’t recoup the budget spent you can get into trouble. Anyway, they should try to do something about it.
More of those intro videos (six of them, just linking the first three):

Guess it's not just on the internet but in Japan in general, so it's more then even Airi in C-ute
More like Michael in Jackson 5, the others in RfD might as well not even have names

The amount of videos from different idols he has in his profile is insane. I can see that.
I predict that for a following single, which I also predict will come very soon, Kanna will be heavily featured. They won't allow this moment for capitalization slide just like that.

Her “first” interview about all this. Last weekend, when all this was starting to happening the group was on Tokyo. There were two Nico video streams, first one I think was a live show, the second one a sort of a show with different indie idols. I think she was already asked there (both shows were blocked outside of Japan). Explaining this, because it kinds of show that for many people is not about the girl, just the emotion or feeling they’ve got from those pictures. Nobody has uploaded anything from those shows, just pages and pages with the same thing (pictures, live clip, short video of her talking). Let’s see if somebody uploads this interview.
Other than that, a fake Twitter account already dismissed by the group.

I watched their performance in VN . This group is really Amazing .
Actually, from the beginning , noone notice them . Maybe because they were not famous at the time. But after their first perform . they changed the atmosphere completely. Most of their product had been sold out not much later.
