Mikichan announced her graduation... Im devastated

Honestly I am not surprised.

 

What is surprising is that it seems management has treated these things in recent time more like in the older days. Naanya and Mikichan were both part of AKBINGO! recently (and also other TV shows in the near past). They enjoyed quite a fair bit of attention in AKBINGO! and it definitely looked like they were doing well. Both although had some personal issues they struggled with, such as weight and handshake events. 

 

But then when the scandal hit - one which wasn't even publicized in paper media - they disappeared from AKBINGO! with immediate effect, and they disappeared from other things too. Naanya for example was relegated from the front position in group pics and similar, and the other 15th gen girls have had very little contact with her for whatever reason. 

 

With the news then that Naanya would graduate, I was expecting Mikichan to follow, solely because Naanya is a new generation member, one who had a lot of potential. For someone like that to announce her graduation all of a sudden, there has to be a reason.

 

And now Mikichan announced her graduation. Recall that Maachun too had a scandal recently, and immediately after she announced her graduation... 

 

Neither of these girls are on a super powerful / big agency. That is the difference here I think. But we'll see what happens in the future... 

 

Anyways, perhaps this sets an example for the other girls in the group - in particular the younger girls - that actions still can have consequences, and so it's for the best to take things seriously.

I guess with Mikichan they wanted to do the new single with the Tentoumu Chu song first before announcing any graduation. Probably already recorded everything relating to it.

I guess being in or back by a powerful agency is the only way members can survive a scandal that has decent photos.

Havent updated in a while, but after going on a variety show Miki revealed she has been struggling after she left the luxorious life as an AKB member.

 

However, Miki also started a fundraiser for her solo idol career and... she is currently at 52% of her goal! She managed to collect more than 2 million yen. Curently she has a lot of media attention on her and a lot of jobs. I'm happy for her.

 

Also, Miki is working hard in the gym everyday! If you follow her instagram you can see she is back in shape looking good.
