^ Oh yeah, she had a high entrance level for sure! Everyone was shocked when the fan recording of one of 20th gen's first KSS performances came out (Rock Erotic, was it..?) and Funakki was already singing like the little power house she is :D. It's beyond me why they made her fail Mirai Shoujo audition....

I was also wondering why she failed the auditions. Then again no one won and I honestly think they simply made some MM auditions earlier than they actually intended to get new members for the group simply to find new potential KSS candidates. I mean there seriously is no way MM had so many auditions with no suitable candidates.

I think it's not really like they chose Chisaki over Funakki. It's more that some groups need these strong members more. They put lots of pretty but otherwise average girls in MM because the main group is successful already. While members like Karin or Funakki are needed like a backbone for the sister groups.
