but it should still end as their 2nd highest selling single for 1st week...
=======
And now I think the reason for the poorer sales is the NMB48 fans holding some money back for the AKB48 single with the request hour voting tickets ..
They should be saving for a Sayaka vs Miyuki solo song battle and also to help get NMB48 a better position for request hour ..

And this bit touches upon the sound of the song itself, which was discussed a while ago (the 和 bit):
ハウスミュージックをベースにした四つ打ちのクールなダンスナンバーで、楽曲のところどころに顔を出す“和”の要素を取り入れている。

So did it beat Nagiichi for their 2nd best selling week ..?
The biggest kick I got out of the result is actually E-GIRLS .. 73,000 is pretty close to EXILE previous week 1st week sales of 75,132 ..

Great first week!
This case is quite interesting. Before the release fans compiled a list of all the NMB and AKB events that were around the corner and then added the new KAMONEGIKKUSU events and concuded that there are way too many events... basically we don't need any more as we already have enough opportunities too meet our favourite idols.
The song itself doesn't fit the ordinary 48-group sound and, just as Virginity, seems to be outside of the comfort zone of the many fans. Even Sayanee and Maachun wrote on G+ that they were worried what fans would think of this release.
The benchmark for failure or success this time seems to be set at BnE level... with first day sales that only AKB48 has surpassed in the 48-family. Of course it will look like a fail if you wanted them to fail. Take away the anomaly BnE from the equation and it looks like big success despite the above conditions.
NMB being weak? NMB's year so far... The album sold very good, they did a very good election, BnE sold extremely good, KAMONEGIKKUSU is their 2nd best selling single during the first week. These are very nice things considering that NMB is lacking an aggressive promotion strategy for the Tokyo region, just take a look at AKB HS numbers. Can't ignore that frontgirls have graduated and Yuihan went back to AKB too. Numbers, numbers, numbers...
I really love this a-side ...and I want NMB to continue to give us something different. Please don't go super safe with future releases.

I do agree however that there's too many events for the 48 group, including the Request Hours, concert tours, elections, janken tournaments and taikou utagassen. Having too much will not only bring down overall quality, but the girls as well will suffer from fatigue and stress, as well as injury. Plus, they already have terrible sleeping schedules and barely get enough sleep.
Also, blame Yoshimoto for not pooling more resources to supporting NMB. They have immensely popular geinin and such that have their own shows, yet the girls are rarely brought in on those shows to do some PR for themselves. Not only that, the shows the girls have for themselves are constantly used as a platform to show off Yoshimoto's less popular geinin. Of course the girls and such can't decline because those people are technically their senpai.
Yoshimoto really have no idea what to do with their idols. Hell, they had the opportunity to use a Fukumoto fresh from graduation back when the press still had their eyes on her, but they just left her out there to collect dust until fairly recently.

I watched through the drama that came with the A and B sides. Decent overall, but the theme was simple, story-telling was straight-forward, and the girls weren't encouraged to step outside their comfort zone (like playing characters that weren't similar to or exactly themselves, getting them to show more varied emotions, etc.)
As expected though, the girls with experience in acting showed their prowess, as Yamamoto, Watanabe and Yagura made it look natural.
I also watched the 7th volume of Shinkigeki which came with Type C, and I must say, I was disappointed at Watanabe and Yamamoto not being part of the cast. The focus as usual is on Yamada and Jonishi, and they both did their job well. Muro showed improved acting compared to her monotone appearances in Geinin 2, and Yoshida seemed to enjoy her role a lot. The story this time is a little bit less entertaining than the last few ones, but still managed to make me laugh.

I must be getting spoiled by their DVD content because I was severely disappointed the drama WAS the extra. I kept looking for something, anything fun and extra (third pool battle??). Drama was fine. Probably my least favorite of the three even though I liked the setting, scenery, and Akari's leggy high shorts.
I also liked that they cast some members as extras in yukata (I noticed Yuumin and Naru, but that's all I really remember making out just watching through, I want to say Ruririn, but I might be way wrong about that) on the parade scene.

A good end to the sales week though. I would've like to see their sales continue to surpass their past releases, but that's not always possible. Kind of hard to go against BnE as well due to the concept.

After watch this new single couple times somehow still can't feel 48 group aura in it.
It's like some other idol groups song. That's too bad, but I'm saying as NMB48 and 48 group fans.

And that difference, that distinction, is what sets them apart from the rest of the 48 group (as it should).
It's actually worse if all of them sound the same.

It only took me a second listen to fall in love with this song. I love how Fresh Lemon is going all out in the song, she looks quite fierce actually. Girls look amazing in the PV.
In a World of no guarantees, you can always count on a Demise at Dawn.
