On July 19th Rhythm Zone, an affiliated label of avex announced that a "world standard" girl group will make their debut on July 29th

 

Rhythm Zone haven't revealed much about the group. All we know for now is that the group name, the names of 2 of the members and their concept The groups concept is "girls can do what they want, the way they want" Also, all of the members are bilingual

 

Below are 3 teaser videos, 1 for the group and 2 for the only 2 members who have been announced so far

They're certainly.. different

But in a good way

The song is catchy, but nothing special.

I do have it stuck in my head now so that's a good thing.

I like Tina's voice the most.

However I'm developing a girlcrush on Anna.

Diane is really pretty too, but I didn't see much of her.

It is a very generic release and I think the girls are very talented but everything about the song and the video is generic :/ 
I know they're Japanese but they have some parts of them that remind me of K-Pop :/

I don't know they haven't had a good debut I do hope that they have a good single for their next release or they're not gonna be successful

It has been years, actual years so I will revive this thread. I love FAKY, they are great singers and I think they have a refershing sound. They lost me a bt with The One, but their recent and first songs are amazing. They remind me a lot of k-pop somtimes but I don't mind and I also like that you can actually understand the English words in their songs.

 

Since 2013 they have had member changes. Diane and Tina left after the mini album The One was released and Akina joined the group last year for their 3 newest digital singles. 

 

The One (2014.07.02) First digital mini album and the last one with Diane and Tina. The One was the "promoted song" ans used as an OST for the movie Bilocation. Other tracks on the album were: P.O.V (+remix version), Better Without You (+English and remix versions), Girl Digger, Get Up, What R You Waiting For and The One. In the spoiler below is the music video for The One. The video does not feature any of the members and is a straight promotion of the movie.

I think this group has a lot of potential vocally, but Avex have been a bith meh at promoting them. When will thy finally get a physical CD release and OMG what is wrong with the music videos?! You has obviously been done by someone who has ingested too much sugar at 4AM.   Candy is not so bad, but are those naked aliens with boobs or badly drawn people?   It is obviously a low budget but why are those bad drawings there? The dance does not make the video better either. Afterglow got the best one in my opinion. Not the most common music video but I found it interesting. I think many fans can relate to wanting to buy and have a bunch of idol things. As songs I prefer You and Candy more, but I am glad to see FAKY back on track with the sound I like.

I got into FAKY recently (when they came out with GIRLS GOTTA LIVE was the first time I heard of them) and I'm pretty much obsessed with their music now haha. The girls are ridiculously talented, there's not one of them I don't like. Looks like their thread hasn't had any activity despite their recent releases! Anyone else listening to them now?

they were one of the first groups i found when getting into jpop/h!p and fell in love with them, my favorites were lil fang and anna but anna had just graduated so oof lol. this was around summer 2019. i need to get back into them though since i haven't kept up with their activities since 2019, but it's been awesome seeing their rise and growing popularity even among jpop fans who usually brush off groups like faky as kpop knockoffs or whatever. ahhh i love this group lol

I had to read up on their group history to really get to know them, since they did have a change in members. I really hope their current lineup sticks for a long time though! I was initially drawn to Taki because of her dancing, but I stan the whole group lol.

 

I think their most recent song, The Light, was recommended by Youtube's algorithm to a lot of people. It already has 1.2mil views in just a month, compared to little more which has 1mil views after 3 months. So I think they've probably gained some new fans~

yeah i've been hearing a lot about the light, it's been getting a ton of promotion which is awesome since faky doesn't get a whole lot of it from avex. and the current lineup is super strong, i'll always love the 4nin lineup with anna but the current lineup is sooo talented and loveable, i really hope they stick around

Oh I didn't realise they had a thread. I kinda stopped following them for a bit so was surprised when I saw they came back as 5 members (Found out about them when candy was released and followed them for a bit but then stopped). 

 

But yeah good to see them doing well now
