I am thrilled to announce Idol Matsuri! USA's first convention dedicated to Japanese Idols!!

When: June 20-22, 2014
Where: Best Western at Silverdale Beach Hotel

Organizing this has been a dream of mine for a long time now. The event is still in its early planning stages, but you guys, this is really happening!
This year is basically a "pilot" con. If this year is successful, it's very possible that we can have a big guest next year, and even bigger guests in the years to come. Imagine, a convention where the very idols we love are welcome and their presence is adored by ALL guests!

What to look forward to at this con:

I'm thinking more and more that I have to make this happen. With a year to plan, plane tickets shouldn't be a problem, and while I live in Arizona I do really like going to Washington (let us not speak of the last time I went to Seattle and wound up spending about 60% of my paycheck at Kinokuniya *cough*).

 

Working on idol mascot designs, too. :3

I'm a little late on finding about this, but yay! And I live in Oregon so it's not that far

Read the facebook, they have different location for the convention. at Silverdale?.

 

I just curious why they plan it at small city. Seattle is close by, why not at Washington Convention Center at downtown Seattle. There where they usually held a convention like for anime convention or sci-fi convention. More convenient for tourists.
