Sasshi's was an anomaly, honestly I thought her scandal was reallllllllly bad.  I think since she transfered to HKT fans embraced her because they weren't as attached and were more interested in HKT gaining influence.  Now you can see they freaking love her if you watch the fans watching sousenkyo (and HKT as well) .  I don't think there's any way she would have been anywhere near the votes she got this election if she was just punished in akb.  It's good though, even if you don't like her you can see that if your oshi got into a scandal there's still hope

Well, unless AKB management had an always right™ crystal ball Sasshis punishment must have seemed much more severe at the time it was thought of than it turned out to be be, casue lets face it, without an always right™ crystal ball they couldn't really have known that she would turn being in HKT into such a success for her.

I'm not arguing whether a punishment is right or not, I'm pointing out that the transfer and not really the scandal has more to do with her awesome popularity she has now, to the point that it trumps it.
