Hello,

I have been uploading stuff in the tracker and I was wondering if there was a way to access some form of the rich text option in order to edit a torrent description. I have seen people playing with the different fonts in the text in some torrent descriptions and I was wondering how they do it, honestly I don't know.

Also, how do I post YouTube videos in the torrent description? Should I just put the embed code there and the video will appear in the torrent description, just like that? Or do I need to do something else like adding some code or something?

Normally I would play around and try to find by myself the way to get these things done but since we can't edit our own torrents' descriptions anymore I can't experiment by myself to find out.

Hopefully you guys can shed some light into this. Thank you.

from tracker tab / my torrents, you can edit your torrents. (or on the small blue book on your tracker files)

modify whatever you want, then click on edit under "force visible".

I don't know about fonts and other stuffs though

Yeah, thank you moarfff for replying and letting me know. I went there and tried to edit one of my torrents like you told me and got to do it. Also, you can even edit by going to your own torrent description and clicking the edit option:

Fact is that I didn't try that option and took for granted that I couldn't edit my torrents because of this disclaimer that appears when creating a torrent in the tracker:

Maybe I shouldn't have taken that for granted. lol

Now that I tried the editing I found out that you only need to post the "embed" code to put a YouTube video in the torrent description. So that is one question down.

I still need to know if there is a way to edit text to play with the font of the letters.

Yes you can by using bbcode.. for example :

[color=#ff0000][font=verdana]Torrent descriptions[/font][/color]

The text will be like this : Torrent descriptions

Some basic HTML tag also can be use in torrent descriptions.

I think the easiest way is by using the forum reply box to decorate your torrent descriptions.
Customize it just like what you want it to be and then press the top left icon above 'Bold' button, the one that looks like a wall switch.
With that button, it will show the bbcode that you need for your text.
Copy & paste everything to the torrent description box.

I'm not sure though if all bbcode can be used on torrent description.

Additional note:
When you use bbcode in torrent descriptions, when you press 'Enter' to write text on a new line, it will somehow produce double <br/> which makes your new line of text having some gap between them. This might be a bug, but I only see this happen when I use bbcode in torrent description.

I usually fix it by manually add <br/> for new line of text, and avoid using 'Enter' key.

Dude, I just tested this and it works perfectly! Composed the message as a normal reply to a thread and then hit the "wall switch" (as you cleverly call it) and then pasted it in a torrent description. That would save me the hassle to look up for the codes and paste all those codes to alter font and such. I've had some random encounters of the third kind with them (<br/>) when editing comments in the picboard, they aren't strangers to me but I will follow your advise.

Thank you very much. Hopefully this thread will help people with the same curiosity and lack of knowledge that I had, if they actually ever come forth. Thank you very much.

Oh I see. What that disclaimer says is that I can't switch trackers from already uploaded torrents e.g. AKB48 Tracker to H!P Tracker, right? I guess that when the whole instructions/disclaimers are read in their entirety and considered to be part of each other as a whole it all makes sense. I am sorry, it seems the internet killed my common sense.
