I wonder if Rio didn't feel appreciated enough in Kobushi Factory, from losing the leadership position that everyone assumed she'd have to basically being a back member, so she started looking into a new career. She became interested in nursing, and she wanted to leave ASAP (aka after the Progressive tour) to start pursuing that career. But UFP made her hold it off until Sept. 2nd, so she started to rebel from activities which in turn caused a lot of problems with members in the group. So UFP just decided to kick her out. If that's the case, I really do feel sorry for her but I just wish that she could have left in a classier way.

Sorry, I just remembered S/mileage's hair cut music video because of her hairstyle. Not all girls were too happy about getting their hair cut.

Pretty sure Sakurako and Natsumi were with Rio. Her eyes are covered up, but judging by her hair and mouth, it's Rio.

Makes me think about how control much Up-Front actually has about the girls' hairstyles. I remember Kanon cut her hair short quite soon after her graduation, too.

Don't think it's about girls not being allowed to change their style within H!P. Girls especially like to change their hair to reflect when they changed inside. I'd say it's more about starting a new segment of their life. To reflect that change, she changed her hair.

 

Also let's be real, that "failed face hiding" was completely on purpose.

Well she had the option for that lol, she could have just done the dates that were agreed to and left on a high note. She didn't seem like she wanted to be there though and was apparently missing dates so it was probably a mistake from all parties, seems like something they were stuck with though due to marketing commitments at the time. She's just at that age where she needs to look at her future and maybe the whole buzz of being an idol wore off so it was the right time to jump off.

She already had it dyed when she was still a member. She was gradually going lighter anyway. 



In any case ...I'm happy the girls are still hanging out. I hope this heals the broken hearts of the remaining members a little
