I don't understand why people would expect the single to reach 2 million fast. AKB's strength is in their longevity. The 2 million will happen its just going to take at least 2 months.

It's because they (and us) wanted the 48 group to do another amazing feat with a smaller amount of time compared to the rest, effectively making themselves another record that's hard to beat.

 

It would be nice, and would make for quite a bit of news.

After 10 weeks the single's total sales are 1,946,673. That leaves 53,327 to go if they're to get 2 million. This will be the last time I post sales update until the 20th week (if they make it that far).

Total Sales is 1,953,560. The latest weekly rank was one position higher than the previous one going from 133 to 132. Only 46,440 copies to go to the 2 million mark. LOL...honestly maybe next year.
