We don't know much about the b-sides really. Type C got Migikata and that is an Acchan song.

but if you really want to be sure you buy a good thing.... you can find on soundcloud.com a AcchanxTakamina version of Migikata. It's not the one included but a way to see how the song will sound with Takamina's vocals....

It actually surpassed Yukirin's Shortcake by few hundred copies. It's good.

Remember that Yukirin is third most popular AKB48 member and Takamina is 6th or 7th.

Still, I was expecting better. Looks like even the most popular and influential girls in the 48 group need a lot of time to have a horde of serious fans backing them up. She barely beat Kasai's single by a few thousand (though the number will rise up a bit towards the weekend). The most successful so far are Maeda, Itano and Sashihara, but these girls are practically the cream of the crop.

 

And then you have Ono Erena, whose single sales have been doing terrible as of late.

 

I'm not even Takahashi's biggest fan but I paid for the three types. Shame on the Japanese fans. I'm technically one of them too, but still, shame on them.

Kasai's number was first week, not first day. Her number was only 12k first day. Nonetheless I still expected better than this. What are you fans doing?

I meant total sales, which is why I added that portion after it.

 

Kasai's sold 42k in total, which is 3k below Takahashi's first day sales. Even then, I don't see this single getting to 100k unless we have a lot of late-bloomers buying after the release date.

This first day is pretty much in line with Mayuyu and Yukirin singles and those have all crossed over the 100K mark.

 

There have been so many girls getting solo singles by now, I guess it doesn't feel that special any more.

At #1 today with 16,172 sold (that EXILE drop is crazy!)

 

Yukirin had a more impressive 2nd day, but I think she had an event?

That's actually quite possible. The fans have some pretty sneaky surprises sometimes.

C-ute sold 2573 copies.

 

I feel like Takamina's debut is going like Sasshi's.

Nogizaka & EXILE had #1 first day only.

Sasshi & Takamina had all #1 of the rest of the week.

 

But Nogizaka > Sasshi.

EXILE > Takamina.

 

Hope that she will have a little boost.
My hopes are about 80k or higher.
