No, she knows it's her birthday since it was said at the end of the first birthday event, but for some reason they don't know how to reply to it in English so they just repeat the phrase. Akari did the exact same thing at her BD event, lol.

Her events were hilarious btw, she had to do missions in order to get a price but she kept cheating in the funniest ways, and the audience was helping her out to Keita's great dismay. I hope they show the first event on dvd since it was funnier, but most often they show the 2nd one, but many things cant be replicated. Also, Karin and Uemuu showed up during the first and were supposed to scare her by popping balloons as she looked at the birthday cake, but Yuuka saw the balloons hidden under the cake and ran off stage. When they tried to get her up on the stage again so they could proceed with the prank she refused to come back and started crying. So in the end they gave in and removed the balloons. I dunno why, but she is REALLY scared of balloons to the point where the show couldn't proceed because she just wouldn't come back on stage. Their manager underestimated how much she disliked them and just thought of pranking her.

Despite her sweet looks, she likes to cheat?? Well, I'd forgive her I would love to see this, hopefully it does get into the DVD!

 

I know about her fear of (popping)balloons from that one H!P DVD magazine. I don't think there is anyone as afraid of balloons as Yuka is, a traumatising past involving balloons maybe? Until she's ready to share her fears or confront them, I think it's best to steer clear of balloons for now.

If you've followed Miyazaki for a while, you've probably heard the term "azatoi" or "azakawaii". These are not NECESSARILY tied to dishonesty, but they are tied to getting used to being spoiled and getting what you ask for from males... I wasn't at the event, dunno what she actually did... but soliciting unfair help from the audience or MC would fit her "character" or possibly even her character.

She wasn't necessarily asking for help, depending on the mission the audience automatically helped out. She did stuff like cover the timer when she ran out of time, bouncing a tennis ball 3 times,letting it rest and bouncing it again even it should be done in one go, only erase her answers partly so she could still read them when retrying the challenge, pretending she was just practicing when she failed,ignoring Keita and keep writing her answers, scribbling down something unreadable and saying what it was supposed to mean afterwords trying to make it count, etc, etc. It was hilarious and I didn't expect her to be this funny at the event since she is often so level headed.Keita had a rough time lol.

Do something mischievous and expect the guys to let you get away with it... But it could also just be that since it was her day she could cut loose all the seriousness she has to wear as leader.
I didn't really follow J=J in their earliest era, but iirc when Miyazaki was announced as leader, people were surprised because she wasn't so... uhh... reliable? Maybe this is part of that side of herself that she usually doesn't get to show?

Yea Yuka has really grown into her role as leader. She had a more "airy feel" to her then, than she is now I think.

I just watched Yuka's birthday dvd magazine from last year and I can totally see why Keita would be troubled again this year Her azatoi-ness(?) is a powerful weapon lol
