Just managed to finally finish watching the Octopic concert. I am really happy Riai and Yume already got lots of lines. And while I love the other members and want them to stay for a long time those newbies really make me look forward to JJ's future

 

They were totally worth joining the Avengers The future of JJ is bright!

^ I felt like Riai got to shine more than Yume in Octopic. As in, more lines, more screentime. It felt like I was always trying to catch a glimpse of Yume... But maybe it's just my subjective view of it cause I completely fell for Riai during this concert...

^ Considering of what newbies usually get in H!P I felt like I saw both of them a lot. I didn't really count and since I watched the concert in two sessions I can't really tell. But Riai was definitely more secure and had a bigger stage presence already. But both of them did remarkably well imo considering how they are both literal babies. Srsly looking at Riai it got me thinking how her parents must have faked her age bc it felt unbelievable that this was the performance of a 14yo

 

 

And btw I hopw the technician responsible for the mics hopefully got a scolding after the concert. They really forgot to wind of the mic's regulators far too often.

From Octopic I can see Riai is more comfortable with her stage presence. Her smile is so captivating. Yume did best too but she looks like more nervous? . However thats just from that Concert footage, maybe its different in the real times. I'm so grateful for the inclusion of both Riai & Yume in Juice=Juice

I watched the Live Viewing cut (which is still forced-focus, but a different cut than the DVD, where the editors can take time and choose among cameras, instead of the ongoing split-decision of the live version) and from what I saw: Kudo is way more comfortable with her ear monitor, but Matsunaga is way more comfortable being on stage.

 

 

It's a kind of different topic, but I think Kudo, in general, needs to pay more attention to her facial expression, if she wants to be an idol-like-idol.  A lot of times, I think she dances like somebody boxing. She's intent and serious and like she's gonna hurt somebody.  Which can make fascinating, great dancing... just not idol-like-idol-dancing.  So... y'know, choices!

I think Riai is a future H!P's superstar. Her vocal and dancing skills, image and character is not the expected in a 14 years old Idol. Is like a new cyborg version of Karin-chan.  

 

But Yume is great too, mainly her vocals and cuteness.

Yume seemed a bit nervous to me, like she didn't feel confident enough to be 'having fun on the stage' because she thinks she need to focus on performing well. It's probably only a matter of time for her to reach that level, and I don't think we will wait for a long time for that.

 

Anyhow, I think it's pretty amazing that JJ get these two 'battle-ready' kenshuuseis as new members.

It's too bad though that Yume and Riai doesn't get nearly as much exposure compared to other new members joined H!P alongside them like MM's 15-ki and Hashisako Rin. Hopefully the company promote them like crazy when the group finally release something new and do their promo run.

^That's pretty true, because the girls have yet gotten to release a new single under their own. The re-recorded version was lazy to be honest. The new joiners of J=J usually get the short end of the stick for their first official release with the group.

 

Yanamin/Ruru got a digital release with half a PV release, Manaka got an album release (album release usually doesn't get that much traction as compared to that of a new CD single) and Riai/Yume got a re-recorded version.

Juice=Juice and Morning Musume '20 will travel to Russia!

"It is announced that Morning Musume '20 and Juice=Juice will spend time to travel to Vladivostok, Russia.
This travel tour is part of the Japan-Russia Regional Exchange Program for 2020-2021. It is an exchange between Japan and Russia through music and tourism in the cultural field.
It has been six years since Morning Musume had a travel tour (Hawaii Fanclub tour in 2014) and Juice=Juice's first travel tour overseas.
It takes about two and a half hours by direct flight from Japan to the port town of Russia's Vladivostok, the start line of the Siberian railway. It is a tourist destination that has attracted attention only in recent years. The unique townscape and unique and stylish cafes are photogenic... and is showing a rise in popularity. It is a town of exotic and unique atmosphere that resembles both Europe and Asia.

Early June : Juice=Juice, Mid-June : Morning Musume. '20 travel tours are planned. Later, other H!P groups planned to go in 2021.
More details will be announced at a later date.

Anyone sees, on this moment (Karin announced graduation), JJ probably will get another member(s)??

Tomoko's time soon will come too, considering her age. That will make JJ (eventually) lost of its 2-important, original members.

I think Rei will most likely to join J=J since J=J is all about great vocals/dancing or all-round performer image, which Rei would fit the bill. Plus she would be able to keep her purple member colour since Karin's member colour is purple. I would think they are likely to get replacements from existing KSS who are ready for their debut. I can't see them doing an open audition.

Kanatomo's latest solo work is amazing, but worries me. It could be a sign. We all knew she's going to be 25yo this year, but after Karin's announcement, somehow I'm not ready for the worst scenario.
