Hey, i have seen this - especially UNDER FACE - and i think, it´s a new idolband, that must take a closer look.
At first I thought they are the simple electro counterpart to Baby Metal, but they are not . And when I heard the first notes of the current single, " PL" , I also thought more likely that I did not really like. I can with electro sound really not much use .
And yet ... after a while ... and ever ...
Gradually, I became aware of how UNDER FACE , but pursue an independent "idea" , are even unique, and perhaps even the most " futuristic Japan " personalize with all its contradictions. Not only visually - located in Gothic -Lolita , Cyper / steampunk , science fiction , with glowing contact lenses , equipped with futuristic weapons with strange names like "Child Abuser sensor " , "Sadness Deflector ", " Unripe Adult sensor ", " Brain Washers " etc. , but also in substance :
UNDER FACE - these are NANAKO TAYA (born 7.1.2001 ) , HONOKA NAGASHIMA (born 29.1.2001 ) and ICHIGO OKAZAKI (born 28.2.2002 ) - do not come from this world . That's not even (only) meant the transferor sense, they actually come from somewhere in the star system , have come to Earth to study the people to understand and maybe even learn something from us - or, perhaps more likely is to teach us something.
This affects not only the music but also the lyrics and so far the only video story strange, if not disturbing. Can both still very much room for interpretation and speculation. Quite different than what we usually know of Idol Bands ago .
Fits just the facial expressions of the three . They have none. They not only look like without emotion , they have none. At least until they have the " emotion chip " get planted.
So now they have emotions , perhaps to "us" better understand and to "us" to possibly hold a mirror up better, although that was not their original intention . Or maybe it is .
Thus, there is a philosophy behind UNDER FACE .

Amazing for a band with such a young idol members.
Particularly be emphasized just is - as mentioned - the current single with accompanying video " Perfect Lolita "
And one thing first: The " happy " sound at the beginning and the distorted voices, perhaps somewhat reminiscent of children's techno - disco, should not deceive ourselves over it , that the sound in combination with the songwriting for a while, exerts its own fascination . And is anything but childish .
UNDER FACE is the invitation to judge not only the face, but to look deeper , beneath the surface . Mankind has become completely superficial. We strive only for riches , true values are not worth anything . So we must leave us the question: why and what we actually live?
I believe UNDER FACE are one of the best new releases at all .
