Reversible Radio is a web talk-show available on the fan-club site. Not exactly a radio show. More like Sakuradio and stuff.

Like Showroom I guess. Most idols use that. It has become a standard, why is H!P using something else.

Much thanks. I've been translating the 13th gen blogs on my own in an attempt to test/improve my Japanese comprehension, but it definitely proves difficult when you don't know everything that floats around in the stratosphere of H!P.

Technically it is a radio show just like Sakuradio and 12ki's original radio show (the one they had before 12ki Nikki) which I can't seem to find any information for anywhere. It just so happens that these kind of radio shows are only available via the fan club and the only way to hear them is if you're a fan club members or if someone is really nice and put them up online for for everyone to listen to.

Very cool. It's good that even without Tsunku breathing down their necks, MoMusu still develops really strong rhythmic sense.
I'm looking forward to about one year of voice-training to polish up her vocal attacks and hopefully somebody to work on her kinesthetics for the top of her non-falsetto range.

I mean... yes... it's exactly like Sakuradio. The thing I was quibbling about was calling it a radio show since it's not on the radio. But since it is audio-only, it still makes sense to call it a kind of radio show (or a kinda-radio show *shifty-eye*)

First episode of Reversible Radio. Somewhat brief summary of the episode and my opinions of 13th gen. under spoiler. Actually, read Kyouya's summary, it's more detailed.

The first episode went better than I expected. First, my impression of Kaga(henceforth referred to as "D"), from her appearance on Line Live and H!Station for example, was that she's not good at articulating and carry a conversation, which she also admitted to in this episode. However, it's been a few months since those appearances and as the MC for this episode, I thought she did quite well.

I've heard previously from fan accounts that the dynamic between D and Yokoyan is surprisingly good. The general concern was over the big difference in their Kenshuusei seniority being a possible barrier at first, hindering their bonding. However, this episode confirmed for me that both D and Yokoyan are unreserved in talking with each other, even with retorts. With Yokoyan mentioning how she likes talking and how D was a Kenshuusei leader-like figure whom would watch over and show you how to do things, I'm glad they're quite comfortable talking with one another.

Before they could even explain the reason behind the name of the show, they got into a cute fight that reminded me of their H!Station appearance. After Ikuta complimented on their portrait being well-drawn, D mentioned that she drew it, to which Yokoyan promptly corrected that she also drew [a part of] it. When asked which part, Yokoyan replied the nose. In the case of this radio episode, when D mentioned that she coined the title, Yokoyan once again quickly added that she was also somewhat involved. D proceeded to thoroughly refute Yokoyan having any participation in the naming of the show.

The reason the show is called "Reversible Radio" is because the two of them have lots of contrasting points; height, hair cut, personality; etc. With that theme of contrast, they answered five questions. The following are general outcomes rather than absolutes. When deciding what to eat, they're both quick to decide rather than indecisive. With their favorite food, they both save it for last rather than start by eating it. For shopping, D buys stuff she's decided on prior to while Yokoyan impulse buys. When lost, Yokoyan will stop and think about it while D will try to proceed. With an advice from a senior member, Yokoyan will just try it out while D will accept it once she's understood it.

As for my opinion of the 13th gen, currently I'm leaning a bit on D, but overall I like them about the same. D's perseverance and hard work through the years has brownie points over all of Yokoyan's charm. At least for now. Popularity-wise, from my perspective, it seems Yokoyan is ahead at the moment. But D also has various qualities she can shine with and capture fans. I look forward to getting to know both of them more and seeing them grow.

I agree with your opinions too!  Their banter kinda reminds me of an early version of GakiKame. Sometimes I worry that D might be dishing out the insults too harshly lol but Reina seems to be taking it just fine.

I was hoping they'd both be doing this together every week, but it looks like next episode will just be D. I suppose that'll be a good chance to improve her talking skills!

Some Japanese fans made the same connection with GakiKame. I didn't have that impression when listening but in hindsight, I can certainly see the comparison.

Yeah, D is pretty blunt. They seem fairly close already and with your close friends for example, people tend to use much more familiar/harsh language that they normally wouldn't with strangers and people they're not as close with.

Would also like to see them both on all episodes but yeah, looks like it'll just be D.

Thanks for the links, I really enjoyed the first episode.  I agree that Kaedii did much better than I had expected, perhaps because there is a level of comfort to speaking with Yokoyama Reina...I cant wait for the next episode.

btw Kaedii will be on "MuJack" with Ogata Haruna, Haachin, Yokoyama Reina, and Maria...it will come out on March 10.
