I have to say that those three have a different cute aura around them, to me it can also evolve .

Kusumi Koharu -forced cute hence annoying.
Makino Maria - Crybaby cute
Michishige Sayumi - poison tongue cute -> beautiful cute.

But in popularity speed, it seems Maria is growing fast which is a bonus for morning musume on getting recognized. However it doesn't seem to me that she has any haters so far?
