So waking up failed (didn't fail per say, I just didn't want to wake up), but I'm very pleased at the results of "Hashire! Penguin" getting #1 and "Ue Kara Mariko" at #3. Definitely caps off a great and unpredictable Request Hour. Can't wait to watch this.

Many of the SKE48 members I follow on G+ are upset/distraught that Yuasa didn't receive more votes of confidence, especially Rena. I voted for all of them and I hope that the reason that others didn't is more I want TGSK to stay rather than I don't think Yuasa can do the job.

This year's RH was really enjoyable with all of the surprises in rank and MCs, good and bad. I think it is more fun to watch if we have no idea of what is coming up next.

Thought NMB48 would have more songs in total and surprised that Kitagawa Kenji ranked higher than any SKE48 single.

I don't understand why he did so poorly ...
I mean he is a respectable man .. who always seem to be just behind TGSK ..
He show up for events and all like TGSK ..
He even came Singapore before when SKE48 came to perform ..
He is always right there where the action is ....

If i am to guess ..why he did badly ..
its either ... ya ..people in akb48 don't want TGSK to go ..
or people in ske48 don't want him to go ...

but with all honesty to me ...
He didn't really did such a great job ...at least if you look at SKE48 ..

We have had plenty of upsets throughout SKE48 ...
The fact is .. it may not be his fault and he may have no power over it ...
But .. we know that but plenty of fans don't know that too ...

If you are an AKB48 fan ... you will be worried right?
you wouldn't want an imbalance group ..

If Yuasa is responsible for this, that of imbalances, little to no kenkyuusei promotion and mass-graduations, then I would be very worried.

I hope however it isn't the case, and I also hope that Saruobasan will be active in the theater with regards to these things as before.

Those are just two posts I find that explain it pretty darn well.

Anyway, Show Fight ranked which was where I sunk all my votes for and it was the damn satisfying that it ranked so high. ; w; Then we had Mitsubachi Girl, Team E's first original song, ranking it which was a really proud moment but I still can't get over Hazumisaki ranking in, definitely did not expect that. I think it was the first time in AKB's RH, first #1 in SKE's RH and ranking in on D3 for AKB's, it was just SO great.

The Kumi pic about Yuasa being KKS manager .. when they announce it .. there was no idol on stage ...
it is a split second pic when Jurina is talking about it .. and they had a lot of time to react on it already .. it pretty much is the same face even for everyone there including NMB48 and HKT48 members ..
Its a obvious misuse of picture and fabrication of an idea ... so we got to be careful what we read still .. ah ... the net ..

I woke up in time for the final day too, but some wise guy decided it would be a good idea to either hit a series of telephone poles or blow up an underground phone line, so basically me and the neighboring town had no internet access and all phone lines were dead for a whole 24 hours (pretty apocalyptic day if you ask me).

So much for commenting on time to my favorite girls' Google+ accounts and making it to the first 10 replies in their blog posts.

Anyway, the rankings for today were excellent, and the surprise Natsu-sensei appearance was very heart-warming. I didn't expect Ue kara Mariko to be on that high a spot, but I find that reasonable either way.

Sucks for the former SKE manager, but it's probably only because that was formerly Togasaki's position he was taking over.

Actually, the screencaps with Kuumin, Katsuo and Yuria are fitting because they were reaction shots when Takamina was starting the topic about the manager shuffle results.

A lot of the SKE girls didn't understand what the purpose of this confidence voting was for, and they were really upset with the results. Several of the girls ran over to Yuasa afterwards crying, something he did as well. So while he's the centerpoint of a whole host of bad decisions, at least some of the SKE girls likes him, and has no idea what was going on (read posts by Kanakana, Abiru, Rena, Katsuo, etc).

Of course, the question is: How much of this is legit and how much is just fantasy? And then of course there's the other views, such as how Yuasa really likes the SKE girls, works hard for them, and so on. And it's rather hard to just read things on the Internet expecting to get a fully objective and clear picture of every situation. So with views from both sides for and against Yuasa, I can only hope the ones being positive are the representative views, of what Yuasa can do in AKB.

Anyways...
I will probably have to rewatch certain segments later today. This was the best Request Hour to occur in years for me due to the variety of songs and the lack of singles occupying the top spots. And that Team 4 won #1 was the biggest highlight. Just awesome.

Several fans commented saying that they clicked on the downvote option because they didn't want him as the new AKB manager, not because of his inability, but because they wanted him to stay as the manager for SKE instead.

Either way Matsui Rena was pretty pissed at the results (you can feel it just from reading her posts after the show was over).

If you look far in front .. Kumi have been giving the same face throughout after her song ..
She have been sitting there a long time waiting for the no.1 song ...

I seen the same face all the time .. She have that natural unhappy face when she don't smile ..
I have follow Kumi for 2years + ..
I only have my eyes on her whenever SKE turn up ..
That is a split second that look like it .. But you think about the timing ..it's all wrong ..
Because she happen to turn her head and it look like she is reacting but it actually late by a few seconds ..
Just the camera guy happen to catch her at the right moment turning her head so it look like she is reacting ..

Fact is .. This is her last time doing this .. she look more like she is in another world ..

I am not sure about other girls .. But .. For Kumi .. I don't think so ...
Sometimes thing get blowed to look like a big deal ...

I am an idol fan ..not a idol manager fan ..
To me this manager thing takes away a lot of meaning from this request hour ...

I have been back reading on hashire penguin as I didn't back then ..
Seem there are people who make team 4 fans look really mindless .. Like we are living in our own world ..

My initial thought when the disband news came out is .. I got to do it for them for request hour ..

Kuumin was one of the girls that ran to Yuasa immediately after concert ended, crying...

All I'm saying is that for a lot of the SKE girls this really was a dreadful experience for them to go through, seeing their manager be - in their eyes - humiliated publically. There were plenty of reactions from the girls from stage, and afterwards as said there were crying. And thereafter again many blogged about it. Just go read the entries for yourself.

Perhaps he had this coming, perhaps not. Whatever the case, he'll have to win over fans either way in AKB48. But the same goes for Shiba in SKE48.

Like I said, the girls have written about this. Katsuo specifically mentioned who cried, and that they were feeling angry and depressed. Basically for SKE this was a terrible ending to an otherwise great appearance with 8 songs, and as such, the reaction shots allign perfectly with what was reported to have happened immediately afterwards.

Girls who have posted on G+ about it: Seera, Rena, Manatsu, Kanakana, Katsuo, Churi, Abiru, Neesan, and probably more, but those are the ones I remember. To mention, Kanakana also wrote about them crying, about how Yuasa was crying - first time seeing tears from him, and how it was a big, big incident for SKE. Manatsu says it was mortifying, and that she was overwhelmed with grief. In a post the day after, she says she has still many thoughts about all of it, but is positive to Shiba and wants to build a new future with SKE.

As for Kuumin not posting, she explained why (her cell phone is broken).

For those of you who voted for Hashire penguin, is that your favorite song or because they dissolved Team 4?

Lets hope that with the re-release of all of the stage albums more stage songs, esp. from H1 and H2, appear next year.

Even with the general managers for SKE48 and AKB48 are changing I don't think that there will be that much changes to the groups, at least nothing that will stand out. Only for HKT48 since they are new we might notice something different. Besides what stages are performed and who appears in them what other decisions do they make that Aki-P wouldn't also have a say/final word in? Maybe things like discipline or handshake event schedule they have a say but not senbatsu or who appears on what show etc. right?

I gave all my votes to Hashire! Penguin because of Team 4. If Team 4 still existed, and if fans asked them what song one should vote for that represents them, and they said Hashire! Penguin, I'd probably do that.

It's because I like so many of the girls from that team, they truly have something unique. The dissolvement of that team only made it into a must-vote however. It's such a great way to pay tribute to the idols you like, especially in this case, letting them have a final Team 4 moment together. And here, all the people that voted, made them beat all the songs that didn't rank, and 99 songs that did rank - including Heavy Rotation. It is a good song too of course so there's that. But when I watched them win, and get #1, it wasn't me cheering because I get to hear Hashire! Penguin because I like it as a song, it was me cheering because of knowing what it means to the girls in that team. Feels so nice to have been part of that.

With Team 4 voting I believe a lot of people who may have voted for other songs also gave some of their extra votes to Team 4, just like last year when a lot of people did the same with SDN48 and Kodoku na Runner.

I sometimes have voted for songs because they are good songs, sometimes voted on songs because they are special or hold a certain meaning, sometimes voted for songs due to members in them, and so on. So there's different reasons.

As for stages and members in them, I am not sure if Akimoto controlls all the members, and all the songs. It's possible he has input, but if you take AKB48 as an example, this is something that largely lies in Saruobasan's court yard. Thereafter comes tgsk.

Akimoto often just lets people below him do the work, such as managers etc. but of course if he wants a member in a song or so I am pretty sure he gets it his way

I voted for Hashire Penguin because they dissolved Team 4. It's not my favorite 48-related song--although I do like it a lot. It's actually not even my favorite Team 4-related song (that would be High school days, by a long shot) but because it's become their representative song...and it was the song they asked everyone to vote for...and I really love Team 4 (well "loved" the team, but still love the girls who were in it)...I voted for Hashire Penguin.

If there hadn't been an initiative like this in place (i.e. if Team 4 hadn't disbanded or if I wasn't a big Team 4 fan) I am not sure if I would have voted for my actual favorite 48 song (Mori e Ikou), which I knew would never rank. Probably would have thrown a bunch of votes at Mokugekisha, thinking it would have a better chance but needed some help. (Obviously it either didn't have a better chance or really did need some help, ha. [I thought this was rather disappointing, that song is such a gem.]) Difficult to say, though.
