As part of the "Kasai Project", Kasai Tomomi will debut as a solo artist under Nippon Crown and release her debut single titled [Masaka]

Surprising news, but well within expectations.

If she had the same level of popularity as Itano she would have debuted earlier, but better late than never. She has good vocal range too, which is a plus.

The only reason I'm surprised by this is because horipro have been just.... ignoring her so much recently. (I know she had that challenge where she ducked out but I don't think she's done much otherwise.
Am looking forward to this, I hope it's good ^^

Wow, this is surprising, considering everything that's been going on with her lately (at lot of people are mad that she quit the 10,000 yen challenge after four days). People have even been calling for her graduation, and that she might be blacklisted from TV Asahi. Maybe this is to distract them all, or some kind of damage control by Hori-pro.

Anyways, yay! This should be a good chance for her to shine on her own. A pb would be nice too.
Chiyuu has such a sweet voice, but it's also a bit jazz-y with an oldschool R&B quality (meaning real old school R&B from early 20th century). It'll be interesting to see what kind of songs she gets.

Random but I think this is one of my favourite AKB solo single costumes, not that there's a lot of choices for it

^ Yeah, I was expecting something a bit "bigger" too. More ethereal, maybe?
It's nice, though, really sweet, which suits Chiyuu. People usually think of her as being one of the sexy ones, but she's really always been more of a kawaii type of person.
For some reason I pictured her doing something that involved fairies. She just always makes me think of fairies.

Tomoomichan has the advantage over her AKB48 namesake and close friend Tomochin, in that she can do lives anywhere any time, and not worry about her voice, because she sounds very good. Her entire mini-live event was done very well.

I received version A. Although at first I was not that crazy about it, I now think it is a sweet single!

Oricon stops counting because of New Year Eve.
When it starts to count again we will see a nice 60k or even more....
How amazing would be that, but after all don't forget that Masaka's first week is actually a 2 week thing....
