Great TV-show with great girls Yes it would be better but internet should have made the world a little bit samller by now. Another helpful thing would be an AKB TV-show invasion, other sister groups have tried it In a way I find it nice that they do the promotion by them selves on Kansai terms though it may take a bit longer to reach the stars.
That Watanabe girl is soon up in front in the AKB singles Seemingly unstoppable at the moment...

Sure the people can find recordings of them a day or so after, but watching it live is a whole different experience. The girls themselves also watch along with you most often, posting pictures and their thoughts regarding what's happening during the challenges and on-studio and such in Google+.
Most of the people not around the Kansai area go "huh, wait, I'm missing out on a lot of stuff here" while the people around the Kansai area are commenting about certain things as they happen. It's just unfair for the truly dedicated fans simply because they're in a different area due to work, school, etc.
If I recall clearly, AKBINGO is going to have NMB girls in the New Year special, and NMB girls have already started appearing at AKB とXX. The SKE girls got the same treatment before, but apparently it wasn't enough. That's where having a country-wide broadcast comes in. They'll get higher ratings that way too.
Watanabe wrote this for her goal for 2013 (according to the attached image): "Make it to the top 10 in the senbatsu elections". Let's hope she does.

As a fan that had to DL everything I ever saw... the world is smal thanks to to the wonderful work of japnese fans. International fans or japanese fans don't have to miss anything really, sure with a delay, but we have the chance to catch almost everything.
The ones that aren't fans yet will sadly miss out on a lot of opportunities to get hooked though and get robbed of opportunities to experience idol madness. I may be oldfashioned but I have no real problems with waiting a few days knowning something great will show up But yes, regions must still feel crappy if you live in Japan...
AKB to XX is a Kansai show only(?). AKBINGO appeareances are indeed comming our way though

a lot of it is also due to the size of Tokyo, its simply so big you don't have any objective reason to leave and even if you go to the surroundings your back at square one, where did you end up? Chiba? Yokohama? oh wait, both cities with millions of people, so not really surprising its not just Sapporo or Nagasaki that are considered far away but even places like Shizuoka seem like in a different far away world, of course some take it too far and consider Ikebukuro to be the place where one has to be careful to not fall off the edge of the world
