AKB48's 29th single as we all should know, will have its senbatsu based on the Janken Taikai. The single will be released on 5th of December 2012.

Senbatsu:

Shimazaki Haruka, Nito Moeno, Yokoyama Yui, Uchida Mayumi, Nakamura Mariko, Abe Maria, Shinoda Mariko, Takeuchi Miyu, Kashiwagi Yuki, Matsubara Natsumi, Nakata Chisato, Ueno Kasumi (SKE48), Umeda Ayaka, Maeda Ami, Itano Tomomi, Kimoto Kanon (SKE48).

Single also features new songs from SKE48, NMB48, and HKT48. Kitahara Rie will be part of SKE48 song, Yokoyama Yui will be part of NMB48 song, and Oota Aika will be part of HKT48 song.

These tracks can be found on the following versions:

Type A: SKE48 - Tsuyogari Tokei
Type B: NMB48 - HA!
Type C: HKT48 - Hatsukoi Butterfly

The single will also include original music video of songs that previously did not have a music video, and these songs were chosen by fan votes. These are:

- Team B - Team B Oshi
- AKB48 - First Rabbit
- AKB48 - Sakura no Hanabiratachi (Maeda Atsuko solo version)

Main c/w track from AKB48 will be a Christmas song, titled "Totteoki Christmas".

Yes, that's correct.

I really, really hoped she would manage to get to senbatsu - but she unfortunately didn't make it. To tell you the truth, she has done real well in the past two Janken tournaments, but I guess it's very difficult to keep on winning in this kind of game.

Well on a recent G+ post by Tanamin she writes that she almost or did forget to vote and shows her ticket. On the ticket itself says that it will be for the December single. But other than that I have not seen anything else. Don't know if you can call that confirmed or not.

Yeah, something less over-the-top would be cool. The last two janken pvs have been pretty straightforward, so they might continue the pattern.

I really prefer these high quality music videos they've had. It's more fitting of a mainstream group in my opinion, though I usually like any video the 48 groups release.

I don't think they'd go that far for Shimazaki title-wise. Shinoda got that because of her reputation as well as her sadism. In Shimazaki's case, the song might have something to do with her winning the whole tournament with scissors.
