I kind-of feel HKFC have a reached a stage where their future seems a little uncertain, and I wonder if they perhaps don't have a strong enough identity compared to someone like BELLRING 少女ハート who seem to benefit from strong support from "Trash Up"? Looking at their schedule are they trying to do more shows with bands rather than just appear at idol events, though at the same time their image and sound seems to softening if anything?

Well, their last two singles were kind of punk-rocky but I feel just like you. They also seem to promote less and less (maybe more locally in Ehime?) but lately their releases hasn't sold as good as before.
In this case, the mascot they collaborated with's target group is children so I assume that's why they went for a more traditional idol-type song when promoting as Barikyun?

They've always seemed to try to contrive a 'punk' component in their merchandise/t-shirts and their image, but now there's so many other idol acts that have a very similar look and sound, they may be searching for something different. And of course, we use 'punk' in the most generic sense of the word. I'm sure there's no more 'punk attitude' in the members or management than in 99.9% of idol set-ups. That said, I do think they have a few half-decent tunes in their repertoire, and their live shows are energetic, so I sort-of follow what they're doing.

Kinoshita Kokoro graduated from nanoCUNE on the 15th due to health problems. It seems there wasn't an expected time frame for when she would be able to fully recover, so they decided it best for her to focus on recovery. This is really sad news... I'm hoping it's nothing life-threatening and she's able to recover.

 

nanoCUNE will continue with the remaining 3 members. The staff already removed Kokoro's bio from the site and noted the blog will end soon too. :\

Well that sucks =((((((( I haven't posted in this thread for a long time but I've followed them elsewhere, it's sad to see them all gone eventually ;_; and nanoRider disbanded.... ugh what's up HKFC management?
