Remember, in Nogizaka46, there are "technically" 3 center positions:
1st Single: Ikoma, Ikuta, Hoshino
2nd Single: Ikoma, Nakada, Sakurai
For the 3rd single, it may change again

Also, this release date.....
I thought AKB48's 27th single would be released on this date......
Maybe I'm thinking too much, but I just had a thought both groups would release their singles on the same date. Silly me

but just need 1 or the 2 reason to happen ...

My oshimen Kawamura Mahiro got in to senbatsu ... or
they get some proper looking outfit that don't look like recycled material from home with a faster upbeat song that don't sound like they are looking for a cure for insomnia ..

pretty shallow reasons .. but just something I hope for ..

Well, here's hoping that the costume designer doesn't decide to recycle tablecloths again for their outfits. Its like he/she owns a tacky Italian bistro or something.

I hope Yasusu takes a lil bit more control for this single (promotions, PV, costumes, etc.).

ANd just checked that AKB is releasing their next single the week after Nogizaka's.

I pray for BIG changes in this senbatsu lineup

Haven't been keeping up with them lately, but RAAAGGGGGGEEEE @ Reika dropping out ofShichi Fukujin again. :-/

At least she's the official captain and guaranteed a front spot. They're not doing teams, just generations for this group, right? So it'll be a Takamina situation with her as captain of the whole shebang. Awesome. Maiyan still in front, good just wish she could get in that seemingly impossible Top 3 (though her NINKI ranking suggests it's not impossible AT ALL). Sayurin still in front, good but I'm biased and want her in Top 3 as well lol. Neither Yuminee or Mahiro made it but hey, that means I'll see plenty of them in UG so it's cool.

I like Hoshino but I'm really surprised they're so intent on pushing her when it doesn't seem like she's going anywhere. I love her shy, girlish persona but I think that's what is holding her back. The Yasusu group(s) wota seem to continue to be a different breed from the H!P wota, shy and sweet just doesn't cut it most of the time. The only exception I can think of is Shawako and she isn't even really truly that shy.

Their songs are admittedly pretty vanilla and all have the old school sound (not a criticism) but I've been genuinely enjoying them so I have no problem with them continuing in that vein. Covers have been decent, PV's have been quality so like everyone else here, I'm really just hoping the outfits aren't completely terrible lol.

As somebody who has had the privilege of actually shaking Shawako's hand, I can tell you that she is most definitely not shy. She is very very friendly and I had to literally tear my hand away from her (not because I wanted to but because I was being ushered along).

This particular lineup is rather interesting. I'm not quite sure why Reika has been dropped from the Kami7 though but she just earned a ton of respect from me for that speech she made at the end of that episode. Something along the lines of regardless of whether you're senbatsu or not, all 33 of us are members of Nogizaka46, etc. She has confidence and authority. Shame that isn't better appreciated.

Hoshimina kicks ass too. She was able to endure the foot massage while Sayuri fooled the other team with her acting, gripping her chair and raising herself with a pained expression as though she's the one whose feet are being abused. Well done! Meanwhile, Maiyan broke down in tears... oddly enough, that makes her even more appealing to much of the wota crowd. In my case, Hoshimina just shot up several ranks in my favorite list. Well, I haven't really composed an official list but she'll definitely rank somewhere very high. I'm not so crazy about fragile girls though...

Ikuchan screams in Soprano. That is so adorable.

I am always amused at how the Japanese seem to treat watermelon like its something precious. I know its a fairly expensive commodity over there but I live in a country where it is plentiful, affordable, and even seedless (if you're willing to pay just a little bit more) so when I see someone treat it like its rare treat...
