There are two petitions going on at the moment. The first one is a petition to fire Akimoto and tgsk I believe, but I haven't read it (just heard about it elsewhere).
For what it's worth, I don't think it's serious at all, and it's also quite retarded. Whatever the case, I would suggest not signing it.
The other petition is one made by SKE48 fans, regarding the assumed upcoming grand shuffle of the 48 groups. SKE48 fans arguing that SKE48's identity as we know will be torn apart, and they are against that, and breaking the identity of the other groups, and wants to keep it as it is.

Concerning the Aki-P- and tgsk-related petition my first thoughts were now: "What kind of **** is this?? Why would anyone do that?"
I mean, there might sometimes be decisions or announcements that someone might find strange, weird, maybe even ridiculous, but this.. I am currently asking myself how much that person, who made that petition, had drunk by then *drop*.

Right. It would effectively end everything, as a consequence. So hardly an intelligent petition. Whatever one may think about the shuffle, at least the second petition going on that I mentioned makes more sense, to ask for it to not occur. Of course, I am quite sure nobody will listen.

I've been thinking a lot about the grand shuffle that's coming very soon, and what Aki-P has planned with all this.
I've liked a lot of his ideas, been persuaded by some of the pushes (like Paruru), and watched him make changes that eventually worked out somehow. Some think of him as a genius, and when you look at AKB, it's true for the most part. He's been on a streak for a while and has had to deal with the managing of all these girls and the continued success of the group. There's not really a lot of opportunities available for everyone, and while the idol world can be harsh, I think some of the stage managers and staff show they genuinely care about the members, if not at least feeling the pressure that comes with their position. There has also been solo albums/singles given to different girls by management, although I wouldn't say Megumi Ohori had it easy when she was given an opportunity either. I suppose for every kind gesture and great thing, there was some sort of hardship for another. I'm not sure what it all means or what Aki-P intends differently with each girl, but he's a man of many characters for sure.
And this new extreme idea may of been something he felt would be exciting and possibly put a renewed interest in certain members, teams, and chemistry among the groups themselves. It's a huge risk I think, but that's the track record for a lot of his decisions too...from something good, to something difficult, then turning it all into something celebratory. I guess when you're a part of a group, everyone has to make sacrifices from what I've seen following AKB so far. I'm not sure if Aki-P really puts what each girl wants in front of the group, and that's the theme to all this I guess...even when everything could work better for everyone a certain way, it doesn't change his idea of how he sees the 48-family moving forward. When I look at him, it seems like he approaches everything also from perspective of being a fan himself at times, and how that relates to AKB on the whole.
A part of me is nervous, but I'm also hoping for the best as well.

As far as we know, does Aki-P still write all of the songs/only one that write the songs for 48G?
I was just thinking, we are all clamoring for the new stages and remember the days when stages came every year or so and just a couple of months after the first shuffle. If he is the only one that writes the songs, I just can't blame him it taking a long time for new stages. Back then we only had AKB and SKE and while AKB48 had there pattern of 5 singles a year(2 versions) SKE48 only had 3 or 4(1 version). But now with 4 groups 5 singles a year for AKB, 4 for SKE, 3/4 for NMB, 2 for HKT and 3-4 different version for each single or 5-6 songs thats a lot of work 1 man has to do especially when he is so particular about every detail for each song(remembering the Aki-P special that covered 1 of the singles last year.
Most of you guys would rather have the new stages than this many singles right? I would be happy with reverting back to 2 versions per single if that meant new stages.

This is Akimoto we're talking about here, the guy that boasted that he's got thousands of songs already written and just waiting for opportunities to use them.
The A sides may be specific at times, but a lot of them can be and are likely pre-written with certain girls in mind, while the B sides can just be generic songs where anyone can be a center. It's why there's much more variety with the B side centers, while A sides are often just Watanabe Mayu, Matsui Jurina and Oshima Yuko-centered songs with various parts of their careers in mind.
The challenge that Akimoto is currently facing is that he now has to write group and unit songs that fit a whole team's image, with unit songs specifically being written for specific members. He can't just randomly take lyrics he'd written in the past (unless it's a generic cute song etc.)
It's the reason why there are a few high quality songs in stages (because they're meant to be performed by certain people) and generic ones as well. It's also why the quality of songs for AKB singles have been tasteless for quite some time.

Good point about stage songs being written for specific members in mind, never thought about it that way.
