I'm glad that she has a chance to get another photobook. However, I'm really worried about the sales. First, she hasn't released a photobook for almost 3 years. Second, Makino Maria's PB is just a month after her PB release (We all know how popular LoveRin is when referring to PB). Third, in J=J, she will have to step outside the center a bit since Yanamin and Yuka's graduations occur this year. Fourth, this PB is published and promoted by Odyssey, which won't be as hot as those published by Wanibooks directly. Fifth, the competition in H!P regarding gravure career is much harsher than the one two years ago. And last, she hasn't appeared in magazines much nowadays. I completely respect her decision to wait for making another PB until she becomes an adults, but after the long period of not participating in gravure road, she has to start to build everything from scratch before releasing another PB. We knew that the 1st and 2nd PB were bombs, but I feel that the third one isn't going anywhere since it's too rushed and too early.

I cannot believe it. Several years ago her Photobooks were like bombs. However, her 3rd one isn't positively received. One very negative comment from what I understood (low quality of PB), and this one falls out of top 20 on many websites on the release date. I think there was a plot behind this: she was invited to make a PB by Wanibook, but there was an issue regarding her discomfort while doing a shooting (especially bikini scenes). I'm not here to complain, since this was normal for her age (the feeling of embarrassment while wearing bikini for shooting). After that, she decided to stop doing PB. When she was about to turn 20, she wanted to release another PB. Unfortunately, she was too late, and Wanibook refused. Then, Odyssey Book granted her wish. If she is really popular among H!P members, this won't be a problem. However, this is not the case. Besides, the distance between her 2nd and 3rd PB release dates are so long. I think that's why this PB is quite a failure. She needs to appear on big magazines on her own more (such as BOMBS or UTB+) so that her next PB is able to become the bomb.

Just received her photobook today (after only two days delivery to germany)

And it's great, because Akari is amazing in these photos

There may be not so many swimsuit-pix, but that doesn't matter imho ! (and I do appreciate the gravure-pix from the first two PBs)

I see why the PB was rated quite low on Amazon now (compared to her previous PBs). Most comments which are low rating refer to "less swimsuit than the last 2 PB". Since her sexiness was exposed much less than in her last PB, they seemed to be disappointed. I guess after this, I can conclude that her answer is clear: she won't follow gravure, and she doesn't seem to intend to model either. Her main purpose for making this PB isn't to make it a "bomb" like the ones of Fuku-chan or Maria, it is to show the process of her mental maturity, like what was described in her PB. For loyal fans who care less for swimsuit, good for them. For fans who only look for her extreme expression of sexiness through this PB, too bad for them.

But...

If she's trying to show her emotional/mental maturity, maybe she should be writing instead of posing.

I imagine more that she is specifically interested in changing the way she is looked at because now, just as much as 2 years ago, she is not comfortable with being a sex symbol. And since she's going to be looked at in the line of her profession, she wants to be looked at differently.
But I'm just spitballing.

She could do a type of PB like Maa-chan did, which focuses on interviews and members' writing more. However, I doubt Odyssey book would accept that request. Frankly, I never expect this PB to sell well, since it only appeals to her loyal fans, not Photobook hunters TBH. Odyssey Book had to find the way to make some profit, that was why they offered her regular Photobook only. And unfortunately, I sensed that on Amazon, they switched to Maria's PB just 1 day after the release day of Aari's PB, since I saw a sudden rise in Maria's PB those days. The probability for it to be a coincidence is low IMO.
