It says the new 7-member lineup of Dempagumi.inc with a new generation of members. I assume the two new members are from Nijicon, but I don't know who they are. Nothing has been announced anywhere else yet.

I see Japanese people on twitter saying they have joined but no official place says so - however neither of the girls have posted today yet.

 

If it's true it's a huge blow to Nijicon and Beboga - it's their most prolific members.

 

Nemoto Nagi is probably the most popular girl in Nijicon, she does a lot of gravure and in pretty much every Nijicon video they try to put her in a swimsuit.

Peroperorinko is the leader of Beboga, she's became quite famous for her drawings I remember her from before that time when she barely had any followers and the suddenly she got very popular - that was before they joined nijicon - they were with another management before so they aren't really related to the main nijicon group at all.

New goods were revealed today for their Osakajou concert with just the 5, so I guess we'll have to keep waiting to see if they are permanent additions or a special sort of unit.

They had a year hiatus and were expected to return to normal after that. It's now believed that was partly due to Moga's issues along with wanting to establish the girls solo careers more strongly. Now it feels like they won't be as active before the break which makes me sad(I realize you would feel differently being a big fan of the other 2 groups but I really adore dempagumi a lot and I've really missed their music this last year and the sadness of Mogas departure and it all).

I've been watching through some nijicon and beboga videos on youtube and honestly I've heard a few of their songs before and liked them I just never followed them much(only so many idols I can follow at once aha) but if they're now part of dearstage I might just end up paying more attention to them. Would be cool to see some concerts where they all perform together(with moucali)

My only salt is that there are two yellows. Egg is not enough of a distinction.

They have already announced new music and a hall tour so if they're going to be slowing down, it's not for the time being.

TBH I'm still mourning over Moga's abrupt departure so i'm not really in the mood for new members lmao 

But they seem cute! I have no idea what groups they were from before but from fans on twitter it seems like they were very popular in their groups, so hopefully this can benefit both groups and give them both more recognition since it looks like they're trying to establish a idol franchise?? idk lol. looking forward to it though 

 

my only complaint it, why have two of the same colour and two similar colours? different group, different colour! damn. just give them pink and purple.

From a little glance I think people are feeling like it's saying the 5 girls aren't good enough but the fans feel they are kind of thing? I think new members is a good thing in theory. I honestly cried thinking about how they were going to do WWD without Moga I think adding new members will take away the kind of sad/bitter feelings a member leaving can bring.

Plus Moga was really popular and they know it, she was their main member into the gravure and fashion world.

It probably bears repeating that Dempa has added members twice, both times in relative proximity to someone leaving (Eitaso and Miu added shortly before Akari left, Pinky and Moga added when Miu left), so it's really not like this is out of nowhere or that there's no precedent. Obviously the last lineup was the most famous, it's never been a static lineup. I don't think the WWD songs will be performed again, at least for a while, but they want to grow and change and I'm willing to give the new members a fair shake. Just not with the color 'egg.'

Nemu also wrote a wonderful post about the whole thing; she really loves the group no matter what it looks like.

I saw Nemu posted on instagram with photos of different dempagumi inc. lineups(she only included ones where they had adopted the full Dempagumi Inc. as they did have another name group before I think it was called just DEMPA but I forget).

Mirin also tweeted at the 2 new members on their "I'm in dempagumi" posts and said welcome to them.

 

I'm pretty excited about this to be honest, I think 2 is the right number. If they added 1 it would feel like a replacement rather than an evolution. I just want to see clips of the event

They performed a new song as 7 at the concert, Girametasu Dempa Stars. Lyrics by Hyadain, music by Asano Takashi, to be released as part of the new single in April.

I kept seeing a lyric sheet posted everywhere, was that the new one? Both Hyadain and Asano Takashi have worked on some great dempagumi songs before so I'm pretty hype.
