Pink Lady should be noted as Oldie Jpop Group.

I also love Yamaguchi Momoe's Payback and This is My Trial.

I'm a big Okada Yukiko fan, I love how her voice could be cute but also sultry. It's really sad how she passed away at such a young age,
These are my two favourite songs by Yukko.

Gonna share some my fave #JPopCanon songs in this thread.
Nagori Yuki -- Iruka.
This has been covered plenny by various H!P members, no? I'll bet Tsunku has some things to comment on it. So wistful and elegant. A true J-Pop classic.

Kassai -- Chiaki Naomi
I'm pretty sure this won the Record Taisho that year.

For reasons I grade "Momen no Handkerchief "as the greatest and most-underrated song of the 1970s:
I always thought the melodies were really unique and didn't flow naturally -- it took a while for it to really sink in. But it was after I was able to read a translation of the lyrics that the song hit me hard. The tune seems to have has that pep and skip but really, it's unique in that it's a back and forth between lovers on a downbound train. I couldn't believe how heartbreaking this famous song really was.

I've sometimes found myself listening to Moritaka Chisato's 80s-era song "The Stress" as of late (I heard Nacchi covered it back in 2006 for one of her singles AFAIK):

I think that's the first time I've really listened to that song - it's great, and I need to start linstening to more Chisato oldies!
And those baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad 80s special effects are so perfect!
