lol Photobooks and Image Videos ("IV", in DVD or Bluray format) are very common not only among idols, gravure idols, and models, but also actresses, voice actress, talentos, etc , even athletes and newscasters release PBs or IVs. No, they are not solely targeting the male fanbase like many people in the west assumed, they’re also targeting their female fanbase. One of the most success example is ex-AKB Kojima Haruna, she's very popular among female fans for her femininity and her sexiness (everyone want to be like her), and her PB "Dou Suru?" (which most of the pics are half naked) sold 53K in the 1st week according to Oricon.like everyone have said, UF is one of the few companies that don't force their idols to do sexy or bikini shots if the girls don't want to. Some of the girls actually want to release PBs, but UF didn't gave them an opportunity to.
personally I don't find Sakura's poses awkward, too sexy or anything
for the matter of fact her PB, as well as other H!P PBs/DVD/Bluarys, is pretty tamed compare with other idols ("regular" idols, not gravure idols). No topless back shots, handbra/hairbra/towelbra/etc, or any "crazy" poses which are very common in idol PBs nowadays (even the cover of ManoEri's last PB is a topless back shot lol)"but those poses are too sexy!”…. If she’s 14 or 15, I’ll probably agree that the SakuButt shot is a bit too much, but for an 18yr old? ummm… no
lol (btw I've seen poses some preteen junior idols did in their PBs/IVs were even more racier and way less cloth, and the bikini they wore in swimsuit scenes were micro bikinis *cough*)as for the photographer, I don't think it's the his "fault" for Sakura doing those pose because Sakura is always good at doing sexy poses without anyone "instructing" her

yes, he probably gave her some guidance here and there like all photographers do, but I think many of those poses are actually from Sakura herselfactually I do found her very sexy when she do those cool/sexy poses of hers (it even surprised Reina lol)

according to wiki http://helloproject....de:Nishida_Koki, many PBs since 2003 are his works, and many of them are my favorites. I also have some of his works that are outside of UF, and honestly I find his works are pretty normal and moderate compare with many other photographers I know lol (some of the "more extreme" photographers I know are female themselves. They are really good doing classy sexy shots, and helped the girl gain a lot of female fans
