This is completely random but don't you guys think Sakura is similar to Washio Reina from E-Girls/Flower ? Not in terms of looks but in singing and dancing ability when compared to the other members lol, they both stand out as stars of their groups and seem to be capable with singing and dancing. Idk whenever I see Oda I see Reina and vice versa, its so weird.

I think she just made one of my favorite MoMusu songs ever even better. And so effortlessly!

 

As a matter of fact, EYN is one of their hardest songs ever.  In that performance, I would say only my daughter (of cause), Fukuhime and Kaedii (a nice surprise to me, although a single line only) got it right.

^Interesting. Even though EYN is pretty much my second favorite MoMusu song ever, I've never actually considered it hard at all, save for some lines that Mikitty and Aichan sang (as expected) very smoothly.    When I think of hard Platinum Era songs, Resonant Blue, Kimagure Princess and Onna to Otoko are the ones that come to my mind.   

 

And, at least IMO, Sato, Kudo, Nonaka, Makino and Morito too did a pretty good job as well in the performance.

Out of the 3 songs, I really enjoyed "Kioku no Meiro".  If you listen to the BGM carefully, the harmonic is re-recorded by Sakura herself!

 

BTW, I've bought a copy of UTB+ myself and found one particular photo is so gorgeous, I've drawn a new sketch of my daughter  after a loooooong break...

You may find I've changed the drawing technique a bit.  Tell me if you like it or not.

The shading is pretty neat. How many Sakuras have you drawn?

I looooove her Yowamushi. Totally owned the song and her aura for the song was great, so different from last year even. Then 2nd her Kioku no Meiro. Stigma she did good but the song is just...kinda like Meimi's solo in that musical I couldn't like it even if she did great.

She's grown so much since joining Morning Musume.  I'm glad she was chosen as a center.  She deserves it.

Today in her latest blog post Sakura talked about digging up an old time capsule that she and her friends buried 10 years ago when Sakura was only 8 years old:

In the capsule she found the note saying how it was her dream to be a singer by the time the capsule was dug up again, which interestingly enough was decorated with little drawings drawn with a lavender crayon:



What's really amazing though is that Sakura's mother left a message for her to read when the time capsule was opened again:



The message says:

"Did you become a member of Morning Musume already?"

Sakura hadn't told her yet at that point that she wanted to be in Morning Musume, but her mother just instinctively knew at that time that that's what Sakura wanted to be by the time the capsule was dug up again
