Hey guys! ok so there's this anime that i need help recalling from many years ago that i rented from blockbuster or hollywood video on VHS.
i know i was around 8 to 10 years old when i rented this and i am now 19 so around 9 to 10 years ago? if that helps.

ok what i can remember from the show, i know there is a girl and a boy, and i THINK the boy takes over a girls' body or vice versa. i think the genre is sci-fi.
i remember the boy lives in a somewhat small house? and there is a train station nearby or train tracks nearby as i remember a train passing by in a scene i remember.

also on another scene. the girl that the boy takes over or whatever jumps from light post to light post on this scene. they aren't small light posts but they are tall ones.

i remember the VHS tape played an episode or something, then had the credits, then another episode played.
i BELIEVE the girl protagonist wore a red, skin tight suit? i can't recall if it was shiny or a dull suit,
i remember the girl had a pod of some sort that she "slept" in or interacted with.

this anime was Dubbed so hopefully the anime's title on the VHS wasn't translated to confuse people or anything,

sheez ive been trying to remember for months or maybe even 2 years now but i haven't really asked for help till now.
but hey if anyone has an idea, like an anime title, a trailer, a video to help me out? i will be forever grateful! 9 to 10 years since i seen it and i remember i enjoyed it a lot.

unfortunately no it's not ranma 1/2 =/ but i can see how you got the idea.
i know the anime im looking for has a dark vibe to it, and there is no martial arts used and stuff.

Could it be Perfect Blue?There's an idol who lives in a small apartment and saw herself (actually a middle-aged woman) in a red dress jumping from lamp post to lamp post. But it doesn't seem like something a 9 year old would watch...

lol i just saw a trailer for Perfect Blue and i could never see myself watching that at age 9 haha.

now even though they using birdy body he does look like a guy when he takes over and looks like a girl when she uses the body

oh my gosh! yeahhh though i noticed theres a remake of some sort? birdy the mighty decode?
but yeahh! the 1996 version was the one i saw! and i guess the suit wasn't red but i remember seeing red on her and her hair was red ^^ and YEAH!!
i remember faint moments but to some degree i can give off some idea of it!
though maybe she wasn't jumping from light post to light post but i know she jumped a lot around buildings and stuff O_o

watching just a few scenes brought back so many memories, i now remember that scene where she healed herself in that pod and jumped out and she was pretty much naked haha.
also remember the robots that formed together to form into some spider thing that trapped her in some kind of goop. i remember watching that back then!!

Birdy the Mighty is pretty much the first anime i can remember i ever watched back then. and after watching this,
i never watched anything anime unless dragonball z or pokemon, but that was years later.

you are pretty much great at guessing movie scenes and was hoping to see you on this thread hehe. but again thank you ^^

I just looked that title up and was like OMFG I REMEMBER THAT. I've just uncovered an old gem that i watched back in my school days lol.

I would have never remembered that title in a million years unless somebody mentioned it.
