i really need help changing my display name to zschares. can someone please help me? it seems that I don't have a permission to change my name under my settings. please help me guys.

As for Deletion of account, I'm not sure if that's possible in regard to PM'ing an Admin about it. You can try.

But if you're so in want of the Name change, just post around the forums (Not spam) till you hit the 600 post mark. Shouldn't be too difficult. As deletion of account to create a new one, ehh seems a bit outrageous (to me at least).

But in any case, spoke to one of the people from H!O, Amoz, and pretty much what's been said is as is. So below will be clarification.

Just to clear things up.
- Need 600 Posts to become Senpai ranking, which enables you to Change your Username, but only Twice within a 30 day period. {Can click Here for more info}
- Generally when joining a Community, you have a set mind as to what your Username will be, and the privilege for it to be changed is generally just for kicks.
- As far as I know the Staff of H!O don't Delete accounts for any reason, they may Ban people, but they won't Delete the account. {So PM'ing them will not help you}

So from what I know, seems you're stuck with that Alias until you're able to reach that 600 Post / Senpai promotion ranking.

Tough luck, but as I said, if you have an interest with the forum, getting up there shouldn't be a difficult task, especially since you're already almost half way there.

question for the "Ban". if i get ban then would i not be able to see my profile when searching it from google.com?

You'd still be able to. Only difference is that you won't be able to post, not too sure if you'll be able to Read still. As under your name will say "Banned", but in terms of searching for your alias via Google/search engines... You'll still find matches.

As it isn't like your account is deleted or anything, so you're still trackable (so to speak).

Even with the name chance, Google's cache will still have your old alias to be found, and that stuff doesn't go away for a long while. So the urgency for change / getting banned (Not sure why you'd intentionally want that) won't change anything (If you're trying to get rid of your current Alias).

To my knowledge I think same sorta applies for Threads.

They don't normally get Deleted, only locked at most I believe.

So it'll remain here as a reference for other Users that may have the same question in the future.

Just asking, but do you know if they change them when the username has a mistake in it? (Look at my name, the ^ shouldn't be there and wasn't planned)

I believe that while typing the 1 I also hit the ^ without recognizing it...

Even if i reach the 600 post i would never change my username because i love my username so much.
