Yep, current MM doesn't need an "official" ace, nor they should promote one again in the future. 

As a fan of current era, i'd prefer things distributed fairly (not equally coz that's so unlikely). But still need more improvement and should be less centric to one person.

 

Ace is like a stigma for majority of fans.

I thought we(everybody in this thread) had a pretty good discussion here. There were a lot of points that I'm glad I got to hear other people's opinions about. I was enlightened and my understanding of what 'Ace' means has broadened a bit. We can agree to disagree and I think for most of us that's what happened.

 

Many of us agreed that Masaki is not 'Ace' and doesn't have to be 'Ace' because Masaki is Masaki. That's all she has to be.

 

I hope this kind of talk ends here. We are not persecuting people for liking other members. We are not obsessed with who is 'Ace' and who isn't.

I agree with you about his Ace of the group after riho there is more they have to expand is to exceed the Ace for now with Oda/fuku and just behind Masaki.

yeah , masaki really tried hard to somewhat push of all the members in her own way. I can really see that effort.

My own personal thought that she want to do like sayumi did when still in MM '14. This decoded  message she doing right now.. it was like sayumi 再生 decoded mesage right? its usually talking about other member in it her photo card and in her blog, she rather taking others picture than in the picture.

But i think all this effort , fans ended up give more attention to her and everyone else is "blurred" out.

I strongly feel other member have this friendly jealous for masaki, i believe they are work hard too, but still not so many care what their make up brand are.

Today concert in Shizuoka, during "What is Love?", Maachan stirring the audiences there by saying「Shirasu (whitebait) and Kuro Hanpen (black fish cake), everyone here ~ let's go!!!"」

Shirasu (whitebait) and Kuro Hanpen (black fish cake) are special food in Shizuoka and fan reports said Maachan has turned all of the fans there into Shirasu & Kuro Hanpen

During the MC, Oda asked Maachan what did she say during WIL then Maa said 「It would be boring if I just say 'Everyone in Shizuoka, let's go!!!' right? By the way talking about Shizuoka, Kuro Hanpen appears in my head, that's why...」

I saw many fans tweeted that they bought/went to eat Shirasu & Kuro Hanpen after the concert

 

^It was so funny so many fans tweeted about this, I feel like there are more tweets about this Maachan's part in WIL than the new song

 

Also, in the night concert, Maa changed it into「Everyone in Shizuoka！Hello♡ Let's go!!!」

Ono: Well personally, in the shuffle unit song in April 1, Sato Masaki - the senpai that I admire joined that shuffle unit, and they sang a song called "Suki yo, Junjou Hankouki".

She was so cool~ ♪ How to say it... you just glued her eyes on her. Sato Masaki-san's originality? Somehow it feels like she makes "Suki yo, Junjou Hankouki" become her own song,

like the new side of her. That originality, again it's something different. Because "Suki yo, Junjou Hankouki" has the originality of Sato Masaki-san in it, it makes me feel like the song become cooler.

Just like Mizuho, i also think Maachan was on another level during that performance. All the girls did a great job, but i felt like the song was completly different during Maachan’s parts
