Cervical lymphadenitis can caused by vary organism.

Natural history of TB is insidious onset.

IMO, Maa-chan had sudden onset of fever which likely to caused by bacterial infection

Source of infection can be spread form many source such as upper respiratory tract infection (usually caused by viral infection and is self-limited disease) superimposed by bacterial infection.

It can be cured and not lethal disease.

By the way, I wish Maa-chan get well soon, I miss her alert and cheerful characher.

I think you can find them (unpasteurized milk) in Hokkaidou, Masaki's home prefecture.
