http://www.ybc.co.jp/tv/kitaguni2018/Ishida Ayumi will be on a local Yamagata travel guide show called "Kitaguni Travelers", and she will be representing Miyagi prefecture. She will be going on a journey on her own to show off Miyagi while riding a bicycle.

It's kind of impressive that we've basically had co-subleaders for a quarter of Morning Musume's existence now. What probably started as a way to kick the can down the road on deciding the order of leadership between Mizuki, Harunan, and Eripon may now end up being a tradition that lasts for a fair number of years.

Which isn't a bad tradition imo as the group is kept p big. And I feel like we'll see new gen annoucement not very far into '19.

I was expecting it, she was chosen since she's the oldest among the memberes (except Mizuki), and that's usually a reason to deserve being the sub-leader.

I'm super happy for Daaishi! Tbh, first thing that came through my mind is that either Fuku or Ikuta will be leaving in 2019.
I'm updating my Google Doc with this and it seems Ayumi is now the oldest member to become a subleader, beating Takahashi by ~ 1y 4m.

Sub-leader huh? I might need some time to get used to that! It's just a little weird since I read that Eripon wanted to be the sole sub-leader and Ayumin said she didn't want to be one? But well, she's been quite reliable for the longest time now, so I don't think it changes that much for her.
Anyway, I will try to post more frequently this year, even if not as detailed as I did in the past.

New audition is going to take something like half-a-year, but still "new members coming eventually" announcement right at the top of 2019... not right but also not wrong.Which isn't a bad tradition imo as the group is kept p big. And I feel like we'll see new gen annoucement not very far into '19.
