So Metropolis reached 8th on the weekly singles ranking and sold a total of 28,784 copies
I don't really remember how they're past sales went, but seems to be higher than synchro and lower than crossroad.
Was really hoping this single could do well, since I like the b-sides a lot.

has made a couple of major changes to their charts in the last three years that make it harder to compare current sales and chart positions with the historical data.
The ARAMA! JAPAN entertainment blog has a couple of posts that try to explain what has changed:
>> On September 5, 2016 ORICON implemented new more strict rules regarding the sales of CDs at events.
>> On December 19, 2018 ORICON added a new chart that combined physical and digital sales.
So now, when posting sales and chart position from ORICON, we have to be aware of what exactly we're posting and take care with what we compare it to.

The last single Fairies released before the change in how ORICON counts sales is 「Mr.Platonic」 but the change didn't seem to affect their numbers much.
Unfortunately, I didn't save a screenshot for 「Synchronized〜シンクロ〜」 and 「恋のロードショー」 1st week sales but these are the numbers from 2ch and they are probably accurate.
#4 / *19,686 / 「Synchronized〜シンクロ〜」
#6 / *23,782 / 「恋のロードショー」
Forgive me, but every time I watch the 「Metropolis~メトロポリス~」 MV or see the Fairies in the song's signature hand pose...
...this is all I can see.
