How is there no Ao no Exorcist thread
Well anyways from Wikipedia:
The story revolves arround Rin Okumura, a teenager posessing abnormal strength and endurance who was raised by Father Shiro Fujimoto along his younger twin brother Yukio. Soon after Yukio departs to study at the prestigious True Cross Academy, Rin learns that both him and his brother are sons of Satan, the most powerful of all demons. Witnessing Shiro dying to protect him, Rin ends up doing what his guardian asked him to never do, draw the demon-slaying blade Kurikara that restrains his demonic powers, from its scabbard. From that moment on, Rin not only gains permanent demonic features like fangs, pointed ears and a tail, but also the power to ignite himself into blue flames that can destroy anything it touches.

On Shiro's funeral, Rin has an encounter with Mephisto Pheles, who agrees to his wish to become an Exorcist like his guardian were to take revenge on Satan himself, and enrolls him at the True Cross Academy, which is actually the Japanese branch of an international organization dedicated to protect the human realm, Assiah, from demons and other creatures from the demon realm, Gehenna. Rin takes part on the special Exorcist course only known by a few and much to his surprise, he finds that his brother Yukio is already a veteran Exorcist and will be one of his teachers.

Personally, I have never been happier with opening + ending song choices.

I love both UVERWORLD and 2PM, and both groups' songs that were chosen sounded very "cool" and exciting as well.

About the anime itself, I had to take a break due to work and have yet to get back into it, but I heard it got better (after having some rather predictable character development for a few episodes). Can't wait to watch it when I have time!

Yeah, it got a lot better after episode 15 I think. The episodes before were like introductions for other characters. But it was needed, because than it can be a lot better
I love all the other characters. The rivalry between Rin and Bon are so funny

Rin's personality is just awesome and I love it ( i would love to taste his cooking)

Shura is just amazing I would never expect her to be Twenty-Si *gets hit in the head by a can* I mean 18 XDDD

I agree that those episodes were necessary, as they introduced new characters and developed current characters and their character relationships, but at the same time... phew, without the light at the end of the tunnel, I doubt I would have the motivation to keep watching. Though, with most animes, I guess we should expect a similar plateau while energy is being slowly built up for the main plot, and therefore give them a chance. ; I'm too impatient for action!

No one expected Shura to be a girl at first either! Haha. Oh, the things this anime throws at us. Sometimes there are random developments that no one expects, but I guess that's what's keeping everyone interested.

I already watched the movie of Ao No Exorcist, Rin found a little demon and he named it Usamaro, you better watch it too.
