For now I only built:
- my base in cobblestone with kinds of mini-garden for some flowers and trees around in the air and with a big tower to watch far and to see all. ^^
- 2 fountains with their little garden.
- a garden where I make grow sugar and wheat.
- a big house made of wood but I'm still decorating. ^^
And I have 2 secret rooms: one under the wheat garden and one under the wooden house. But I don't use them at all for now. I don't know how to decorate them.
I will make some screenshots someday.
The times I used to modify the landscape around to have more. I would like to make a little village. ^^
And in the future I would like to have a little farm and an underwater house.

Nope, no other practical use except to look cool I guessIs the tower just a way of accessing the rail network, or does it also serve other practical uses?
And I hate those sink holes. I can't tell you the number of times I've been walking along and fallen into one.
Lol, yeah I fall off of stuff pretty much constantly (fell off my rail network while I was taking the screenshots in fact ) and that sink hole has killed me at least a few times, lol.

Inside My cathedral, looking down from the pulpit.

Under the dome of my cathedral, looking up into it (you can see a cloud making it's way inside - I really hate that!

The main entrance to my Cathedral. I may extend the towers yet, I think they should match the dome in Height really.

A view from the west. It really is quite big, and the floorplan (if not the design) is exactly the same as St Pauls in London - 1:1 scale.

Finally, a view from over the sea, near my house.

Maybe that's what keeps me from blowing my stuff up.
But yeah. Orob's cathedral always did scare me.
I had just finished the Church I posted on the previous page, and he was all like, "Hey Dran. I'm planning to build a replica of St Paul's in honour of Chisato!"
I felt like, "Haaaa? I'm not gonna be outdone by you!" And I was.

Plus everything was mined by hand, and had to be searched for, I did not ever use an editor to make anything.
When I stopped playing I was part way through making a copy of Gods Final Message to his Creation from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, or in other words;
'written in fire in letters 30 feet high, the words "We apologise for the inconvenience"'
For fire, Netherrack makes a good substitute

It looks like the temple houses of the zodiac in Saint Seiya.I finally finished the first stage of construction on my city. The town hall.

I've never actually watched an episode of Saint Seiya. Odd, considering that it's one of the classics of 80s anime, and the theme song "Pegasus Fantasy" is one of my all-time favourite anime songs.
Anyway, I'll probably not do much more on my city today, but I've made good progress!
In front of the Town Hall lies Kids Square where stall-keepers try to peddle their goods at the seasonal market.
And perched on the corner of the square is one of the largest and busiest public houses in the Maatropolis. Fancy a pint and a chat? Perhaps you need a room for the night? Then drop by the Queen Kappa!

Moving the minecarts? You could use Powered carts (minecart with a furnace, uses coal) to push other carts, or you could use hills and drops to build speed.

i need help with my minecart system... how do i get them to move without redstone?
Why not just use Redstone? It's extremely abundant (though the gold for the powered rail less so), but since you can have a powered line about 18 rails apart on the flat, and 8-10 apart on hills, and with gold being useless for just about any other purpose - except for making 'hi-viz' jackets for while building - it makes sense to use redstone.

Kumai Heights. Fancy living in a central location, with fantastic views overlooking both the Town Hall and KIDS Square, and even the sea on the other side? The houses here ain't cheap, but it's a great neighbourhood.
KIDS Sq. Station will provide fast and easy access from the city Centre to various stops around the city, as well as important destinations beyond, with an intuitive rail network designed by the world's leading engineers!
