Internet Ads

On the other hand, sometimes they've obviously lost track of me, as when I see ads like "make him addicted to you" (I don't roll that way ) and the best one was "Are you pregnant?" If I am, scientists would be very interested in me, because I'm a man.
What about you? Are the ads you see on the Internet random, targeted to you or a combination of both? Do you set your security settings so advertisers can't know who you are for the sake of privacy, or do you want them to know so they might tell you about something you want? Thanks for any votes or replies.

Sometimes it's ads related to Japanese, Korean or simply Asian stuffs (clothes, mangas, food....) and sometimes it's random like "You want to know if you have gum ? Text "gum" to 3680!".
But I installed an ad blocker on Firefox. It's better now.

Usually I get ads that make no sence whatsoever. It's mostly these 3: A Dutch gambling site *i'm a minor fyi*, a dating site for single moms and the SAME site for dating single dads *again, i'm a minor, and a girl *.
Once i made the mistake to click an ad from Sakura houses because I heard about their service before so for a while I was stalked by those ads, but just now the trusted "are you a single daddy?" popped up again.
Strangly, i never get ads for asian people, guess they haven't figured out my gender yet.
The only asian ads I get are coupons for sushi joints.

But I do get the occasional weird ads that have nothing to do with me o.o Lots of pregnant ads, child abuse, and "Are you bisexual" ads, all which don't apply to me o.o

"Backwards

Think I
Highway Engineers."
And then today I just checked my facebook and one of the ads said something like "become a road engineer today and help with infrastructure."

For me, they're really just random. If it wasn't random, the ads would probably be like, "Buy some Japanese imported stuff today!" or something. But that's not the case. Instead I get those annoying Party Poker and dating service ads. Actually, if I got the Japanese ads, that'd still be annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the ones I mentioned.

"Don't pay to have white teeth - instead, why not pay to have white teeth?"
I have actually been looking for ways to whiten my teeth. But I dunno, it could be just a coincidence - lots of people look for ways to whiten their teeth, anyway. -shrugs-.

^ Argh! I too hate those "so and so wants to meet you" type ads that are so obviously phony. I always give the finger to the model.
Lately, the ads seem to have "lost my trail", so to speak. They keep asking me if I want to date Mexican, Colombian or Ukrainian women... now I have nothing against women of those nationalities, but one would think it was rather obvious what nationality I tend to prefer (look around you ).

I randomly searched for something I never searched before and when I clicked on the site I always go to, there was a ad telling me of a store nearby that sells that
but men in gray need to pay more attention to my posts because after I posted that "I'm not a fan of polka dots" on another site my next ad was "buy wallets"
*rolls eyes* decorated with big polka dots
