wow .. gratz to her that she got promoted to Team K ..

Honestly ... I didn't like her .. I find it quite gimmicky and fake that she try to sell her English abilities ..

But it changed when I got to a AKB48 KKS show recently during my trip to Tokyo...
I can tell you ... she is the best dancer in the show by far ...
but as the show go on .. I find that she seem to be not very well liked by the fans ..

I couldn't understand how someone who look so pretty with such a cute voice and so good at dancing does not get the favor of the fans ..
In the end .. she did made an impression on me ... I begin to see her as a possible oshimen selection since I lose 1 in AKB48 recently ..
I do really feel she deserved more fans and my support .. She had been in my mind since after the show ...

Today before the concert .. I was already thinking .. i got kind of a feeling that she would get promoted and I made up my mind ..if she get promoted for tonight only and only on this day ..I will follow her as an oshimen ...
OMG .. and she did ... I was thinking its not going to happen but scary like hell it happened ...

From 28 April 2013 onwards ... I will follow her with all my heart ..
The best oshimen is usually the one you hate before that.. maybe true ..you know

ps. because I didn't like her in the past .. i really don't know anything about her ..
and the more i find out about her .. the more regretful I feel for missing this girl for 2 years ..

She ranks as #1 on G+ in category "Video Master", and also in "Quick Comment-Master" category. I think most fans really appreciate her self-made videos, as they're really good, plus in events she films soooo much of the other girls, so even if you're not a fan of her, you basically have to watch her videos because she covers so much. 

 

It would be nice though if she was more popular, because she is a really nice girl. But I am glad she's promoted, it is well-deserved. And as long as she does her best, I'm happy.

finally found Hirari's thread   can't keep posting Hirari stuff in the AKB thread (like page 429, page 445 ) lol

 

 

 

after some digging, some site said she wanna become an idol is because of the Morning Musume videos from youtube (holy sh-t! she is one of us! I doubt her didn't know about H!O...)

 

she entered Morning Musume 9th Gen Audition, but later dropped out because the audition date crashed with her ballet recital

 

the Japanese Wikipedia did list her as one of the auditionee (but no source)

Heh I can totally imagine her following online news but I don't know if she still would, I mean I imagine the girls are probably advised to not read too much about themselves online (as there can be hate out there) but maybe she keeps up with idol groups outside of akb48?

Then again I see mostly positive things about Hirari(at least on 'foreign' forums) so maybe she's ok with it

If I was an idol myself, I'd feel very, very reluctant towards checking out fan-sites, as you can come across so much nonsense about yourself. But I know for example that at least a handful of the girls (including one from Nogizaka46), checks out the 2ch matome sites, and that's pretty much a compilation of actual news articles, and mostly 2ch threads - so if they read those, they'll get heaps and heaps of anonymous view points on the various girls. Sometimes it is great feedback to see I am sure, but other times it must feel like a continuous punch in the guts...

btw Hirari born in the US (source: her G+), not in Japan. She is 100% American lol

 

I found it really weird to call someone "half American" when she is indeed born in the US. lol

 

since no idea what her other half is, she is still a Japanese American

"American" is a nationality, not a race/ethnicity/etc ...

 

to most American (if not all), there is no such thing as Half/quarter American. Either you are or you are not ....

if she is not born in the US, then yes, you can say she's half American ... to describe her other half

 

 

but what you said is correct ... in Japanese/non-American POV

■ぶっ飛び研究生ひらりー先輩がＡＫＢに入るまで
 
平田梨奈
『ひらりーが日本のアイドルを好きになったのは８さいぐらい。
ママが１ヶ月に1回日本の曲のＣＤをつくってくれて、車に乗ってるときに聴いてました』
 
去年の夏日本、某事務所のオーディションに応募。
書類は受かり、ＤＶＤを送ると、『まだ小さいので様子を見たいから、１年後にもう一度送って下さい』
角の立たない不合格通知ですｗ
 
その後、モー娘のオーディション・東宝シンデレラオーディションを受験。
書類は通ったものの、面接が同じ日にあり、モー娘を選択。
しかしバレエ団の公演と重なり、別日も公演があり、キャンセル。
 
次にＡＫＢを受験。
写真は普通に立ってるだけじゃ面白くないかなと思い、変なポーズで送ったそうです。
当時はアメリカに住んでいたので、審査のたびに飛行機で日本に来たそうです。
 
お母さんがなぜひらりーが受かったのかメールで聞いたら・・・
『今まで１１回オーディションをしてきましたが、お宅のお嬢さんのような子は見たことがありません』
 
たしかに、こんなぶっ飛んだ子は、なかなかいないｗ

her English is definitely better than mine .. LOL
Just regretted not saying anything to her when I met her last year at a KKS stage ..
I didn't know she is that good at English .. but the reason why she is one of my oshimen is because of her dancing which I guess is usually overlooked .. or maybe not?
