Version Music is going to release this idol compilation called “Girls Pop'n Party -Idol Parade Neo(仮)”. The guy selecting the tracks is the guy behind this book (that book was the first to spot Curumi Chronicle or Peach sugar snow).

Has anybody bought this book? Allegedly is an Idol music guide from 1971 to 2013. Even if the list is biased or the entries themselves are not that big (the previews on Barks are bigger), could be an interesting thing to have, or at least, to share the list itself on this thread.

There will be 138 Idol groups taking part in TIF2014.
Last year there were 111 groups and 33,000 fans.
Organizers are expecting a bigger crowd this year.

I'm looking forward this year Idol Festival. I watched last year program like crazy and it really helped me to find more artists. 

 

I don't know if these girls are mentioned earlier but I find them very interesting. The group is called 放課後広カワ団 (Houkago Hirokawadan?)

Taking place in August. They are aimming to attract more foreigners to the event. That sounds great, IMO. TIF is becoming more prestiges

Just got news about LIVE GiRLPOP Vol.3!! Smileage and J=J will be there.

Will be held for the first time not at a Livehouse but at Nakano Sunplaza! It will held on 2014-04-27.

Another news on a big idol event just came up Its the KAWAII!! NIPPON EXPO 2014 which will be held on 2014-05-10.
Lineup has not been finalized. I'm not sure if UUG has taken part in this one before.

So what we have here is 1 major idol event every month, almost.
For June we have Idol x Anisong event @JAM 2014, which UUG is going. Technically its at the end of May, but I am counting it as a June event.
We have nothing in July yet, or did I miss something

Hoping for a big idol event in July for me to attend. But trust me, I'll be at Tokyo Idol Festival, too haha. That's what my trip is planned around, after all~ (If anyone finds some good groups performing in July/August, let me know ;D)

I can't wait until we get announcements on the other groups performing at TIF. My #1 hope is for Dancing Dolls. Also really hoping for Prizmmy and Prism Box. Really pleasantly surprised to see i*Ris listed already! The idol world is so exciting~

So, what's the story behind RED-POINT and their name change to Limi Cess / Limited Princess?  How long have they been a group?  I ask because yesterday Yuri, the leader, started following me on Twitter.  I decided to be nice and followed her back.  And the other four members too.  No idea why she started following me in the first place.  But this isn't even rare anymore.  Third time this week an idol started following me on Twitter!

MC Yuka has graduated from Rhymeberry. I think this is her post explaining why:

If I understand google translate correctly, she cites economic reasons for leaving the group.

 

But there is good news: MC Miri announced in her blog:  "the resurrection of Rhymeberry and the start of the new Rhymeberry."

Two events coming up: one-man live "WE ARE BACK!" at TSUTAYA O-nest on April 27, and "IDOL NEWSING vol.1" launch event at Shibuya WOMB on April 29. (I guess IDOL NEWSING Vol. 1 is a DVD, but I have no idea what it's about.)

 

Rhymeberry will be debuting a new song, and I wonder if they will add a new member? They need three MCs to sing R.O.D. properly!

If you are keeping score at home, St Bonapro School graduated two more members in March. They are down to four now, but luckily Rico and Nono are still hanging in there.
