Why the friggin' rush? Tsunku & Naoki aren't wanting to add 39 more members to MM, are they?

Morning Musume is taking applications for the 10th generation auditions.
To help boost Japan's spirits, we are looking for girls who love bright songs and have pride in their smiles!

The target are girls age 10-17.


The rest just says how to apply. Looks to me like they're returning to the 1 gen per year cycle that they began with. Newer fans are just used to a more static group, but I remember back then it was new members every year, and definitely kept things interesting. I'm going to enjoy seeing how this turns out, especially with the interaction with the 9kies since the ages will be closer. Love to see some cross-gen relations developing like GakiKame~

Way too soon. 9th gen was barely a few months ago. They've only been in one released single. Like someone else said, this is going to turn into the awkward Aika/Pandas situation.

I expect the audition winners announcement 2~4 months after.

hate to admit it ... but it seems the quick double audition allows the public to remember that before there was a group called Morning Musume which always add and drop people.

@CaityCat will probably have to wait more. that's just the deadline for sending in applications - after that there'll still be at least 2 more rounds + training camp.

Isnt that a perfect description for Kanon. Wth? 9th gen (minus Riho) have been compeltely shunned and ignored.
Im so confused. I dont know what to feel right now.

on another note. I do not want Jang Dayeon being added be the reason for this, Korean MM I do not want (afterschool is doing perfectly alright there).

Not surprising actually. It's been a really long time between the 8 and 9 gen auditions, so its not surprising they want to do another one quickly to pick up speed and prove MM is still in competition (as a pp had said)

I do feel like we're just getting to know the 9th gens, so 10th gens will be kinda, there. Maybe he only wants to add another 1 or 2. He probably wants to fill in the age gap between Aika and Mizuki.

It's too bad so many eggs left after the 9th gen auditions though.

Speaking of eggs- I hope this doesn't turn into a debate on weather Tsunku's going to add eggs, (like what happened last time in the 9th gen audition thread )

I have a feeling the 10th gen will be introduced during Ai-chan's grad.
