I asked Mika on Twitter, yesterday, what she thought of the new lineup of mini moni, and I sent her the YT video of them singing crazy about you. She hasn't answered me yet, but I'll bet I'm not the first person to ask her that. I'm just curious cuz until Linlin left, I loved the lineup. But this past concert, I really feel like they fell apart without her. Or maybe I just liked Linlin way too much to admit that this lineup really could never hold a candle to the original.

Though, I have to say, in a lot of ways, I always thought Linlin kinda looked and sounded a little like Mika....
I think I'm getting off topic now, though, so I'll stop rambling.

^ Mika and Linlin do share the common bond of both being the leader of Minimoni and being a prominent foreign-born member of H!P (which also fits in with how Minimoni unintentionally has the most prominent H!P presence in western/international media thanks to Jay Leno and Youtube). And speaking of Twitter, I like how Mika and Aibon are keeping in touch that way.

^ No. I have wanted to. I just have a hard time finding the words... I feel like it'd probably be a sensitive subject. Maybe one day I (or someone) will gather up the balls to ask her.

I wrote down the lyrics for her song "Hope is on the way," (well, what we've heard of it) and tried to translate the Japanese parts. I'm not very confident in my Japanese skills, so anyone feel free to correct me.

^ I think it's a good translation! Only a few corrections on the first part, really:

希望を抱いて kibou wo idaite embrace hope
皆で祈って minna de inotte let's all pray/wish

夢を捨てないで yume wo sutenaide don't give up your dreams (lit. abandon, throw away etc.)
明日に向かって ashita ni mukatte reach for tomorrow (can also be translated as "go towards" or "face")

So I think it'd be something like:

Hope is on the way.
Embrace hope
Let's all pray.
Love'll guide us through each day.
Lean on me today.
Don't give up your dreams.
Reach for tomorrow.
Soon we'll see
A brighter day.

I really like Mika's songs! I hope she'll release a CD soon!

I think Mika is a great singer! I also think she has some acting skills. I'd like to see her in a drama. She was really funny in the Mini Moni segments. The one I can't forget is when she was the judge in the magic contest between Kago (Komaric) and Trumpman. Hilarious!

Don't put that on her. She's in good standing with UpFront and Hello!Project right now, there's no need to jeopardize that for something she has no involvement in. She never even knew Linlin and Junjun.

Yep... seems like Mika smokes. I dont have a problem with smoking (I myself am a smoker) but I figured it might be an interesting topic to discuss. Or at least now we know something about Mika we didn't know before.

"Oumpa" That's cute, cuz she's super short.

and "Tinkerbell" .... cuz she can fly?

"Tinkerbell" is probably another reference to her size. I wouldn't mind seeing her in a costume of that character...

The smoking is a bit of a turn off for me, but somehow not surprising considering the club/party lifestyle she seems to be doing. Hopefully it's not too much of a habit for her; don't wanna lose that great singing voice now.
