(仮) members are doing a new "TV" show. They'll have guests and use the unedited footage to draw out the truth behind idols. (Personally, I don't know if that makes sense for UUG, since they're not exactly representative of the industry...)

Ep1: Members are put on a mico-bus and told to find a title that they all agree on

Ep2: they'll go to the Samurai Armor Photo Studio, where they can take pictures in samurai armor... if they can all put on the armor quickly enough

Ep3: we get to see them in samurai armor.

Which all makes me wonder what planning *cough*genius*cough* didn't notice that this is the 5 member UUG. :/

Reversal have a different market than a sports giant like Adidas so I think they could work together, if that is the case.
For instance, last year UUG's shoes were sponsored by New Balance(NB).

What is the most viewed UUG music video?
Well it used to be Upper Cut (the one at the boxing ring) at 425k views.
But in July(2017) last year, another video suddenly got a surge of views.
The internet finally caught on to Summer Beam in Hawaii, which was uploaded 3 years ago(2015)
This video is now at 761k views. It gained 500k views in the last 6 months.

A trend to watch out for now is that since that video is their most popular one, "similar" videos will probably start gaining more views in the long run as well, like their other Hawaii videos, the music videos for ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! or Upper Disco, the ice bucket challenge, etc.

 

This is an interesting effect of the suggested video system.  Any given new video they release has a possibility of this video reaching the suggested list for viewers.  Many would click on girls in bikinis even if they weren't already fans of the music, bringing up the view count, further nudging the algorithm to determine that if people like the channel, they'll probably like this video, and making it even more likely that it'll show up in future suggested video lists as well.  The same will be true for those other similar videos to a lesser extent.

 

Or to sum it up with oldschool youtuber logic, "Bikini thumbnails keep getting views forever!"

But why did it took 3 years to take effect.
The ice bucket and harlem video didn't help UUG get any additional views for their music videos. Those particular videos did really well getting views but it didn't spread.

Youtube is really secretive with their algorithms, but with the way machine learning works in general, it probably was just a tipping point.  Or it might have just been featured in a really popular image board thread at some point to kickstart it towards that tipping point before the algorithm could pick up on it.  It's hard to say without any more concrete statistics.

 

After those videos get enough views in general, an algorithm would eventually consider that to be a popular enough video of similar content that they'll also start suggesting it even outside of UUG videos and more towards the top of search results.  That's when they would start being shown in suggested videos for not only the "asian girl in bikini" sections of youtube (since mizugi is one of the words in the title), but also among other videos in the japanese music category with related keywords or tags, or with the search feature in general.

 

As an example, any search of Hawaii in the katakana "ハワイ" will often return videos with a lot of Japanese girls in general, some of which will be in bikinis even in the thumbnail, and so the video is more likely to be listed nearer to the top of that search after it gets more views since the algorithm will consider it more "relevant" to that keyword now that it has more views in general.  The same is also true for サマー, and while there is a lot of competition for it, may eventually be true for ビーム if the video keeps getting more views.  Applying the same logic that a bikini thumbnail tends to get clicked more in general, that also means that it will further be compared with other content that the viewer interacts with to determine further "related" content.  It keeps reinforcing that positive feedback loop until it hits a tipping point and the video just becomes more widely accessible to more viewers in general as it keeps showing up in more suggested video feeds and search results.

 

Eventually the algorithm will "correct" once it has that wider range of people in the sample size to determine what is and isn't relevant to the video based on how long people are watching the video, how they're interacting with the buttons or comments, etc, but until then, the other videos that the algorithm considers "similar" by the same criteria might see an uptick in views as well.  That criteria in this specific example just happens to be UUG in bikini thumbnails.

NAMCO, of Bandai Namco Group, is opening an extreme sports theme park called "VS PARK" on 6th April 2018 in Expo City, Osaka.

This video appeared on my youtube subscribtion list but its was on RikaRiko's channel instead of UUG's channel.
It is titled as "Maana & Akari rvvdw X UUG self coordinate".
RikaRiko are twin models who had worked with UUG before on the Girls Flash website.
I assume they are collaborating again this time with rvvdw sports brand.
rvvdw is the label that produced UUG gym/sports themed t-shirts, including the black UUG hoodie.
