[oroboras]

After seeing a clip of them on the 2010 Tokyo Idol Festival show, I took an instant liking to this new indie Idol unit.

This seems to be a very new unit on the scene, based in Sapporo, on Hokkaido Island, and are currently doing shows in shopping arcades, and local festivals - though according to their website, they have been formed since 2008!

I haven't yet determined if they have brought any singles out yet, but on their UStream channel they have a complete performance from 26th Feb, at what appears to be a shopping mall. They even do Renai Revolution 21 as one of the songs.

They have a fun freshness about them, and I hope they go a long way!

I must've missed this group when I was watching TIF 2010. Of course, I had downloaded it in the first place for Tokyo Girls' Style and Momoiro Clover, and wasn't expecting to like too many groups that were new to me. And I didn't, either. Sakura Gakuin blew me away with their performance, and Idoling!!! were pretty good too. But there was a lot of groups that were only seen for 30 seconds or so, and I didn't watch these groups too intently. In fact, while the three hour concert was playing on my computer, I was cooking and eating supper, using the bathroom, dusting my apartment, etc. So, you're gonna have to give me a timecode for this group. I still have the concert on my computer, but I've mostly watched the above mentioned groups, and EbiChu, and not much else. These girls are cute, though.

Their tiny 25 second clip begins at about 42.17 on the 5.26Gb torrent of the Idol Festival I grabbed from the tracker here.

I wouldn't say they are very underage! Two of them are 14 (same age as Maimai in C-ute) - anyway, it's about the music, not their age, of course!

I'm having no luck hunting down copies of their songs, sadly.

When I said "VERY underage girls", I was looking more at their faces than the birthdays you typed under their photos. Even with a couple of 14-year-olds in the group, they're still pretty young. I mean, a few of them are 10 and 11! I know there are Eggs and other idols in Sakura Gakuin and EbiChu that young, but it's still surprising to see idols that age. Did they really start in 2008? Some of them would have been 8 then! Pick 'em while they're young, I guess.

Anyway, I watched the short clip of Jewel Kiss a couple times. Do you know the name of the song? I can't read Japanese unless it's Romanized. Even then, I don't know what all the words mean. Maybe typing a search for the song title will bring up something?

Oroboras, you should have checked YouTube, because there's a ton of videos there. Maybe not a "ton", but some. I saw two videos of the same song, taken from different camera angles. The stage they were on was small. Don't know the name of the song, though. Here's the best-looking and sounding version:



Here's a collection of Christmas concert clips. They sing some Hello! Project songs, Tokyo Girls' Style songs and Momoiro Clover songs. They need to work on their performance, because it's pretty rough. But I love the first solo singer in this clip! What a voice!

So, is the girl in the second Christmas concert clip Karen? She's the one who I really like because of her voice. I'm still trying to figure out who is who. And why are they barefoot? It's December! Brrrr.....

I've been searching information about them, but it seems like they aren't famous lot
I watched their lives on Ust and the was a few people attending their live

When I read their history on their official page, I saw their 1st act was in Nov 1st 2008, but it's been nearly 3 years, they only released 1 single
I hope they would try their best, and released more cd.

Being so far away from the centre of the Idol culture (or from anywhere really!) makes it hard for them to get a decent fanbase.

They were formed around the same time as Momoiro Clover - and look how far they have gone now! Sadly, location counts.

Well, they made the Idol Festival, so I'm sure they may be back this year - with a single to sell this time!!! It is a shame that it's so hard to get to Sapporo, I'd love to turn up at one of the events at the local Mall.

I love Jewel Kiss :D

They just streamed and recorded some really awesome mini lives, as well as a practice the day before. They performed Renai Revolution and Go Girl Koi no Victory (same set list as far as I can tell) but they also uploaded a "behind the scenes" live and they perform Rival and a jewel kiss version of Jingisukan :P Also Sailor Fuku wo Nugasanaide if you are an Onyanko club fan!

There are: a man wearing Maichan's shirt (green), a man wearing Kanon's shirt (light grey), a man wearing Mocchan's shirt and a man wearing Moca's shirt (grey), also their is a man not wearing any color shirt but he's always together with these 4 men.

One of Selika's nickname IS Itachi. Just listen to some Youtube videos during Magic of Jewel.
And members often call her Itachi.

Yes, I reviewed some video and when they introduced themself, they called Selika "Itachi" but I have never though that was her nickname, ha ha
Have you listened to "Magic of Jewel", it's a song they introducing about them. And they sang "Selika", there was a guy shouting out "Selikaaaaa".
Also, on official blog, Selica always called herself せりか (Serika). I don't know where "Itachi" came from but I guess, sometimes someone called her "Itachi" not as official nickname

In some videos, some fans are screaming "Itachi" in Magic of Jewel. I don't know where this come from. I know that when I talked to Mai, she refered to Selika as Itachi too.

They recently changed the official website profiles. Before, the official nickname WAS Itachi =)
