Is it just me (or German buyers) or can one no longer select "Registered SAL" as shipping option on CDJapan? This was the cheapest option with some kind of limited tracking at least. All the other options are far too pricy, IMHO.

I might have to switch back to YesAsia now... and play lottery in regards to when a package will arrive, if at all. At least the shipping is free there.

Important announcement about Registered SAL

After January 1, 2014, Registered SAL will no longer be offered in following countries and regions:

Australia, Greenland, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Hungary, Finland, and Poland

Please note that registered service is the only service to be affected. Regular SAL without the registered service will remain to be an available shipping method. This change does not apply to any country or region that's not listed above. More details can be found at Japan Post Website.

That's a hilarious batch of countries. Wonder what the reasoning behind that is, considering how few countries and how "random" they appear. Doesn't affect me though, as I always go for FedEx or EMS.

Must be from the lack of popularity regarding that option for the particular service for those particular countries within the website, making them think that it doesn't warrant a partnership on registered SAL for those areas.

 

Of course my country is affected too, but I always chose the unregistered SAL for products I can wait for, and unregistered EMS or FedEx depending on how important the product is (like singles with time-limited voting tickets).

I got a nice package in the mail today.

I got my Team N 1st and 2nd Stage CDs today (after it was stuck in German customs starting from Jan 4), but no photos... No photos outside nor inside the CDs. I ordered with CDJapan.

Unless those photos in your pictures where not part of the CDs?

CDJ was offering a set of all five CDs that came with 10 bonus photos. I'm not sure where they actually came from, but they must've only offered them with the complete set. I was hoping to see if there were other photos, so that's a bit disappointing they weren't with individual CDs.

Ah.. I see. That explains then. Pity. But I really had no money for the other teams without Haru, else I would have got the set too, of course.

Just got my Moripo towel and the new HKT48 fitted cap. It's pretty nice, good thing I ordered one even though I'll be going to Japan next week since this cap as well as all 3 SKE48 version sold out

That's a really cool cap! I like the design on it.

 

The last thing I received was Girls-Pedia Vol. 4, went ahead and got Vol. 3 as well with it. Both very nice.

 

As for recent orders, I'm stupid and just ordered all of the NMB48 stuff for March 31 with the single through Amazon, which I peg to be:

I would absolutely recommend anyone ordering any of the DVDs/Blu-ray to go through Amazon. You can save about 5000 yen on the 8 Live Collection alone, which softens the blow for other items if you're going that route.

 

This will be the first NMB single I'll be ordering through Amazon and subsequently the first since Oh My God! that I won't be receiving right on the release date. Suffice to say, it may be a restless couple of days.
